Caribbean Beach Rehab!

Hi All,

We had our hearts set on staying at CBR this August for our family vaca. There will be almost 20 of us! We found out that the pool is slated to be rehabed 1/08 - 9/15/08. We really want to stay there, but if the main pool will be out of order we will have to stay at one of the Port Orleans resorts. My question is ... does anyone know who I could contact to see if they think it will be done early? We were planning to go the 2nd or 3rd week in August.

They usually don't finish early. In fact I have seen rumors where it may take longer. The quiet pools are quite nice

Thanks for the info, so sad! We will most likely stay at one of the POR. We will have 8 kids with us and want a more exciting pool for them.

I agree - I can't remember a time when any WDW refurb was completed early. On-time is even a rarity. I'd make reservations elsewhere, just to be cautious.

I think we will, now we just have to decied between Riverside and French Quarter. We have stayed a FQ along time ago and thought it was really pretty, but Riverside seems so much larger. We will have to have a Disney planning party!!

POR's slide may not be as "grand" but it is still really fun. Enjoy the beautiful POR!

Now ya got me worried. We arrive on 9/25, 10 days after it is supposed to be completed.

I hope it's completed for you! We love CB, my kids and my Mom are sooo disappointed! Some people like the smaller pools, less people, but we like all the commotion. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
