I've never stayed at CR, but we stayed at CBR...and if I had the choice, I'd choose the CR (and even deal with rooming with my in-laws!!!) We did not have a bad stay at CBR, but certainly nothing that made us want to go back, and we probably won't, unless there is a discount and only CBR is available (the reason for us staying there the last time...)

As much as I like the Contemporary, I think you definitely need two rooms.

I completely understand your desire to stay at the CR. And I know that the rooms are spacious. And you may get on really well with the Inlaws.

BUT:

There is definitely such a thing as too much togetherness. Both couples need the opportunity for a little quiet time and/or privacy. Without a wee one I could see doing it for just a couple of days. But what happens when the little one goes down to sleep early? Or, even worse, gets overtired and cranky and fusses for hours when Grandma and Grandpa need to sleep.

I'd definitely go with the 2 rooms. Just earmark that stay at CR for the future.
