I'm planning a trip to WDW in November 2006. My parents will be accompanying me and my kids. They insist that there be a hot tub to rest their feet at the end of the day. The only place they've ever stayed is Wilderness Lodge. Is there a hot tub by the pool in Caribbean Beach?

Yes there is a small hot tub at the pool at CBR. It's right alongside the pool slide, but the slide ends down further into the pool, so you don't get splashed by people landing in the pool, if you're in the hot tub. :)

I realize that it's hard to see in this picture, but if you look closely, you can see the end of the slide on the righthand side of the pictures. Immediately to the left of the slide, the hot tub is tucked in that area.

Yep, there is one but you will have to fight tooth and nail for it if you want to get in. When we were there....there was ALWAYS children in it and at night time, there was a bunch of adults that hogged it for hours at a time! :sad2: I wish people would consider others and limit their soak to 20 - 30 minutes at the most.

I agree...the hot tub at CBR was probably one of the smallest and most unrelaxing of all the resorts we've been at so far:sad2: If you really want to stay at a moderate and have a hot tub that's more relaxing, I'd recommend staying at POFQ...their hot tub was a little bigger I think but more importantly...much more relaxing. It's set away from the main pool a bit and did not get so many kids jumping in it on a constant.

CBR has a very small one, way too small for a large resort, that is poorly placed next to slide and the exit ladder for slide.

Here is a photo, it is just to the left of the slide, right where the kids climb back up out of the pool to go back to the slide. http://www.yourmagicaljourneys.com/images/CBR/cbr_mainpool5.jpg NOT the water under the bridge.....there is a sliver of water just to the left of the slide by the pool ladder.

The POR is much bigger and the CSR is the granddaddy of all. No problem soaking your feet there.

CBR hot tub is our least favorite. Very small and always had tons of kids in it.

WL would be our favorite. The main pool has 2 small ones (CBR is probably the size of one of these). The villas has a nice large hot tub.

POR has a hot tub comparable to FQ - but less people at FQ makes it easier.

I think they may be disapointed in the hot tub at CB - sorry.

I mostly agree with other posters. We thought the location was fine, and the poolside bar/indoor food court aren't too far away for getting beverages, but the hot tub was fairly crowded. The one at CS was much better and larger, although often occupied by convention people (fine in my book, but listening to people talking shop may not appeal to some...The conversations I heard were pretty interesting to me) We also liked the theming at CS a little better, but maybe that was just us. The two resorts are somewhat similar though. At either, You'll probably have to do some walking to get there and back- so if it is cool in the evening, be sure to bring a cover-up!
If a hot tub is what you're after, you might want to check out the Swan/Dolphin too. If you qualify for their discounts - see above links - they have two very nice hot tubs, that were pretty quiet when we stayed there. The location can't be beat either! And the poolS (three!) are great, too!

I am not a fan of the hot tub at CSR because it seemed overrun with small children. No parents around. Most places will not allow small children in the hot tub. Nobody seems to care at WDW.
