My better half has significantly more hair than I do -- well, pretty much everyone does, but she said that the hair drier at CBR worked very well -- and I know we had to rush for our dinner at Yachtsman, and god forbid her hair isn't perfect.

I always bring my own hair dryer. I don't like the ones they provide at all. I have very thick hair and I find they don't dry as well. However my sister, who has very thin hair, has no problem with the in room dryer and uses that. It's all dependent on the person.

Here now..checked in this morning. Did online checkin and the process at the desk took about 15 mins. I requested 2 connecting rooms and got them. I'm in Aruba and neither room has a fridge. Will be asking for a credit. Our one room is a king corner room connected to a regular double room. Double room smells a little musty..king room is fine. Both rooms are clean and resort is beautiful. Will update more as time goes by.

Glad to hear that you got your requests. I'd suggest that you run the air conditioner on high tomorrow and then, if it still smells musty, call mousekeeping and let them know.

We stayed in Trinidad North, building 31 from Oct 20-28th. No fridge, and it took several calls, and several transfers to get someone to agree to do the credit of $15/day, for $120 total. It's now Nov 2nd, and it still has not been credited to my account. I am planning to call. Monday if I still have not gotten it.

Your best bet is to go to the concierge desk at OPR or the front desk at the Custom House. When you call the" front desk" from your room you're actually calling a call center. You'll get more accomplished face to face with someone.

Ugggg a Muggg question.:drinking1
I read several pages back and didn't see anyone mention this ... is the mug chip being used at CBR? We went to POP not too long ago and as for me...ugggg..... no debate here, just facts, I just don't like it and no doubt seemed like everytime, I ended up behind guests :rolleyes1 that didn't know how to use it (including little kids). So can I expect to have to endure this frustration again? :sad2:
Thanks~

We were just there three weeks ago..... Yes. There are already chips in mugs at CBR. :)

Correct. Every resort now has the Rapid Refill stations with the RFID mugs.

Hit the single digits today. Starting organizing laundry and digging out the luggage today. So excited this week will fly by!:cheer2:

Visit: 10/25-11/1

Family: 10 people (3 families) (14 months to 54)

Village: Martinique, Blg 21, 1st floor, 3 rooms in a row

Requested: Martinique, 1st floor, connecting to one of the families and received the above.

Resort is really nice. Well maintained. Every day someone was power washing, painting etc. Beach sand was clean.

Each of our rooms had that "musty" smell folks refer too. I bring an air freshener wherever I travel so that helped me. Having A/C on didn't help either.

Beds were comfy. I can see why some would want an extra blanket. They provide thin blankets. Rooms were good size.

Mouse keeping was horrific!:furious: Every day I had to ask for something. There were 4 of us in my room and I would have to leave notes to leave more than 1 facecloth, coffee, to vacuum. It was crazy. I tipped $5 each day as well. Also, on my first day I asked which way to the Old Port Royale/Shutters and she said, "ah, me no speak English".:rolleyes2:confused3 Are you kidding me?!??!

Food Court food was OK. Breakfast and Lunch we all ate. Only complaint was the pasta and meatballs had a funny taste. Mugs were easy to use.

The resort did a great job on Halloween night. DJ, parade, etc. I called and was told they didn't do anything that night so I spent the money on MNSSHP. Not happy over that as I could have save a few hundred dollars!

Main pool is just like pics show. Kids love it and they do a dance party around 1.

We all would stay there again, especially after the refurb.

I gave a B+ due to housekeeping and the musty smell.

Feel free to ask any questions. I'm sure I forgot a few topics.
