Are there coffee makers in the rooms? How is the coffee?

Wow! It's taken me weeks but I've gotten through this while thread! Thank you all so much for all of the information! So many of my questions about CBR have been answered! I do have just a few more though!
We've had lots of trips to Disney but this is our first stay at CBR. We have booked a pirate room and requested ground floor with a fridge. Also, I booked a ghost reservation at pop the night before our stay. So we have our magic bands and fp+ booked for our entire stay. I will try to report back if they actually do end up working at CBR!

1. Is their free wifi in the rooms at this point? Previously I had to pay to use Internet in the room.

2. We are flying out of sfd so we won't be using magical express. Will the front desk be able to print my boarding pass for me?

3. I love the monorail. I'm thinking that on our MK days we might drive or bus to Epcot then take the monorail loop up to mk. Is that totally weird of me? Anyone foresee any problems doing this? Lol

1. Yes - free wifi in the rooms (and hotel grounds, 4 Disney parks, Downtown Disney and Typhoon Lagoon!

2. Yes, the front desk will print your boarding pass for you. We often fly out of sfd too.

3. Yes! Ride the monorail all you want!! I often recommend that people with kids make a point of doing it! LOL

At this point, do you have to put in a fridge request as well? My youngest still has a bottle and I know he will wake up and want his milk .

I called the special recorded line about fridges, 407-827-7760, to inquire about that CBR status. I'm going the last week of October and CM said they should be completed by then.

She said they are given out for medical reasons only and I mentioned I am nursing and she said that qualifies as a need and made note of it. Whether or not she did, I have no idea.

If you call mention it' for you LO, can't hurt. Good luck!

I had to call now that I was thinking about and viola, my request for a fridge is listed!

Now I don't have to worry about how I was going to pull that one off!

Yes there are coffee makers in the rooms. The coffee is okay, not terrible but not great either.

Thank you for the corner room photos. I love all the natural light in those rooms. That was my second request. hoping for some pixie dust.

Make sure you run a pot of water thru first. Who knows the last time the pot was used..it can get funky! Also use bottled water if you can, it helps

Anyone use boardwalk bakery for a cake delivery to your room? I know I call OPR and they instruct BWB, curious of any experiences. Good or bad.

Looking for an anniversary/birthday cake.

We had a corner room in Jamaica 45 and I'll upload some pictures this week once I've had a chance to unpack etc. leaving the boardwalk inn tomorrow and I can totally say i prefer Caribbean beach to here!! Better lay out and much quieter, never mind having its own bus!

We have some in our group going in a few weeks that do not drink soft drinks. What drinks are available for them to get in the refillable mugs? Can they get tea, lemonade or juice in the refillable mugs?

Coffee, hot chocolate, tea are all available. If memory serves me correctly, there are a couple of flavored lemonades and powerade. I posted pictures on the CBR picture thread of the options.

We are HUGE coffee drinkers and am thinking of renting a Keurig (what we have at home and used too). It's only $20 for the week and am ordering other items as well.

I know the one's in the rooms use the pads of coffee, but for those that have a Keurig, what's the comparison?

We used the in room coffee makers but we brought out own coffee "wafers". We like strong kcups at home so the coffee disney provided definitely would have been too weak for our tastes. We ordered some coffee shop and French roast from shoffee and put them in a ziplock

We just returned from a stay in Barbados bldg and we did not have a refrigerator however we were eventually able to get one brought to our room.

Thanks for the update...we're at 20 days and counting before we're back "home"

I'm of two minds about the refrigerators: they're nice to keep bottled drinks cold, but that's really all we use it for. When we got the fridge situation letter DH thought the same thing.

Oh well, after the summer we've had, CB will be a little slice of heaven - even without the fridge.
