A BIG hint: See the trip reports for mickeystoontown above for great pictures of the resort. The last update for pictures was in 2010 and they do not show the true beauty of CBR.

That would be great, are the movies shown at the beach by the pool ? I know I seen several different beaches when looking at the photos.

The movies are shown right beside the main pool which is right outside the main food court. It's not on the beach directly, but very close.

It's pretty much right next to the pool bar. There are chairs and even some tables, where at other resorts I've heard you have to sit on the ground. We never stayed for a whole movie, but it was nice to sit for a few minutes and watch parts of our favorites. We usually walked back to our room singing the theme to whatever was playing.

15 days to go till we check in to CBR! This will be are first stay at this resort, and my family and I are getting so excited now! Can't wait to explore this resort!

Thanks for the shout out! I have pictures of the CBR in my Jumping Dancing....trip report and over on the CBR pic thread as well.

I've read evryth 5th page or so trying to find some specific bus info, but did not see what I was looking for... (i'm researching for a friend with several kids 5-10 agge range)

The question(s) are:
1. ) Do we know which direction buses pickup/drop off ?
2.) Is the direction different going v.s. returning ?
3.) At what stop do the buses actually leave from and return from the parks ?

I'm not concerned with buses being too full. I'm sure Disney has that covered. Also not worried about how long of a walk to any given bus stop, as they all seem close. Its just that with multiple small kids, there are two factors. Going to park; they would rather get on bus early to reduce stress of finding seats together, etc... Returning from the parks when the kids are pooped, does the rolling bus tour of the resort (assuming you are the last stop) add much aggravation ?

So in the end the optimal (kid friendly) bus stop will determine their room selection.

Any info is appreciated, thanks.

I find all bus ride relaxing. They must go clock wise as the door opens on the right side of the bus.

Your trip report is absolutely fantasic ! I did read a bit of this last year and it makes me feel like I'm there right along with you :yay: You have a very lovely family :thumbsup2

i just did o/l check in - one of the options to check was ground floor.

ME must drop us off at the front desk to check in and then we probably have to walk or take one of the CBR shuttles to our building I would imagine.... I'll find out tomorrow! :cool1:

Thanks Disneymama for the info. Hope you are enjoying your stay and I cannot wait to hear all about it.popcorn::

Awww, thanks! We are headed back to the CBR in just over a month. I threw a bit of a kink into our plans. Instead of staying at the CBR for 11 days, we will be staying at POR for one night, then going on our first Disney cruise! After the cruise, we're booked for 6 nights at the CBR. For anyone who wants to read about our plans, just click on the Mickeystoontown's Gang link below.

If the buses enter the resort from the side entrance (buses and service vehicles only), then the first stop will be Jamaica, then Aruba, Barbados, Martinique, Old Port Royale, Trinidad North and lastly Trinidad South. If they enter from the resort's main entrance, the first stop will be Martinique, then Old Port Royale, Trinidad North, Trinidad South, Jamaica, Aruba and lastly Barbados.

We drive to WDW so we have a car at our disposal. We never drive to any of the parks because the bus service has always been efficient and easier than driving.

Sorry, I know this has to be right in front of my face, but what's check-in time, or how does check-in work with all the online check-in stuff?

The reason I ask is we will be driving down in Sept and the day we get there counts as our first park day and we want to get as much time as possible.. so we want to get our stuff in the room, get our park tickets, and head into the park ASAP!

Just got here a few hours ago! :) I am in Martinique 22 and I am using the resorts wifi. So far so good. Not too slow! Can't wait to actually start my vacation tomorrow! :cool1:

The official check-in time is not until 3:00 p.m. but you can check in early morning. Your room might not be ready but you can leave your luggage in your vehicle and take the bus over to the parks. Or, you can leave your luggage with Bell Services and have them deliver your bags when you get back to the resort. When you check-in, you can ask the castmember to have them text you when the room is ready.

I hope that you're having a great time! Enjoy yourself and take lots of pictures to come back and share with us.

Yay I will be there tomorrow. Are you in preferred location? We are booked preferred. Is it really close to the main center? I hope we are neighbors!!

kgoodb00 - never heard where someone was at WDW and not a CM and didn't feel they were on vacation? LOL

So, if you have so much time on your hands then lets see some pictures. Of course we wouldn't want to start vacation a day early, would we? :rotfl::confused3 Enjoy!

Ha. I got here so late last night all I saw was the back of my eyelids haha. I'm in magic kingdom right now! I will post some pictures later if I can figure it out!

I did not book preferred but did request Martinique or Jamaica and Martinique is what I got. Very close to everything. I haven't gotten to experience really any of the resort yet but plan on waking around this evening!
