We went over to CBR for dinner last night. I loved the potato chips at the deli. Anyone know what is on them. They were spicy and sweet. Yummm

Hey - Good Morning Sunshine!!! Haven't heard from you in a while. Do you think they were sweet potato chips with sea salt???

They could have been sweet potatoes but there was some heat to the flavor and I thought it had some cinnamon. They may become my new guilty pleasure.

We had those back in May and my husband loved them. I don't know what the spices were either but they were good!

But the past 4 years, its been at All Stars and POR / POFQ, not CBR.

Just got off the phone with guest relations regarding my ressie. I was bumped from my pirate themed room - water view...into a standard room....because the resort is overbooked due to pop warner this weekend. Kids will be heartbroken. I will note that I am a CM...and that is probably why I was bumped...to accomodate full-paying guests. So I do not want to make anyone worry that they will get bumped....just wanted to let you know that guest services says that yes, pop warner is staying at CBR.

My wife and I theorized they had a mix of cinnamon and cayan. I agree, they are awesome! I couldn't get enough of them back in October.

Caribear - I am going at the same time 4-6th of December. Did they call you to tell you that you can't have the pirate room or did you call them for something else? Do they only bump CM's? :confused3

Had these during our recent stay. I would say they were NOT sweet potatoes, just regular potatoes. I think that they had at the very least some cayenne pepper on them for the spicy, but agree there was also something sweet to them as well, though not sure it was cinnamon. I didn't love them, though. My favorite was the Carribean burger with the plantains and pineapple salsa and fried onions. That was absolutely super tasty!

We were there 10th through 20th of November, I've been meaning to post a mini-review as we had an absolute fantastic time. I was waiting to have more pictures uploaded. Fourth on-site resort we've tried and we were 4 for 4 in loving them all.

This saddens me; I've seen how they behave over at POR / POFQ and I've heard how they behave at the Allstars!! I would not want to stay at CBR with them. They behave terribly!!!!!

Wow! Look at my ticker. We'll be there at the same time.

Wow! Guess everyone wants a beachy feel in January :beach:

I'm going to be the mom running after the energetic blonde-haired 8 year old, yelling Jonathan, don't do that, Jonathan don't do this or at the pool saying Jonathan no jumping, Jonathan don't splash other people ;). If there's trouble, he finds it. So if you see or hear me, feel free to say Hi!

I just modified our existing CBR reservation using the new special offer and saved $491.88! For those of you staying at the CBR in 2012, head over to the Disney World site to see if your dates are covered.

Congrat's :thumbsup2 Mickeystoontown on your discount,we always go in July so unfortunately no discount programs for us :confused3.

Just back from 3 nights at CBR, before switching to POFQ for 7. We had a first floor for medical request for my dad so I made no other requests. Big mistake! We were in Barbados. Too far from the food court and main pool and took a long time to get there when you factor in waiting for the internal bus.

The room was musty from the old style air conditioning(controls on the unit not on the wall) and my son got "sick" on the second day- horrible cough but no fever which we found out was his first asthma attack. We switched to POFQ and DS didn't need the inhaler past the second day of our stay there. Really wonder if it was from the conditions in that room.

It was clean and close to the check in building. That's about the only positive I can come up with for our stay. :rolleyes1

We won't be back.

When is pop warner week?
Me and my kids are soo excited to stay here... and then I read negative posts and worry :guilty:
I just gotta keep telling myself that every experience is different for everone. I have a preferred room to be close to OPR. So I am hoping that makes the difference. I couldnt imagine being bumped from that room

Would walking to and from main pool (jacuzzi) from Jamaica bldg. 45 or Aruba bldg. 51 be too much of a trek, wet, in 50-ish temps?

Have a Great Trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1::banana::yay::cheer2:

Thank you, we can't wait! Leavin' on Sunday, woot woot!

We have stayed in Jamaica 41 (the furthest of the Jamaica buildings) two times and the walk to Old Port Royale was about 5 minutes at a leisurely pace. I'd think if you were to walk pretty quickly, you'd be fine giong back to your room. A note though: There are changing rooms/showers near the main pool that you could take advantage of and not have to make the trek back in wet clothes.

PERFECT! :thumbsup2 Thank you!
Do you think the Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51 locations are about the same (walking distance to jacuzzi) as say Trinidad south bldg. 34 or 35 or Martinique bldg. 22, 23?
