Thank you! Is there an activities schedule with things like pool games, crafts, movies or anything else going on at the resort?

I heard in the past, there was sometimes live music but that's discontinued.

Did you eat at Shutters restaurant, how's the food? Anything good at the food court to eat?

Lastly, how's the drinks at the Banana Cabana pool bar... I'm looking forward to one of those after a long day at the parks!

Going back to CBR in Aug. 2012! Just finished a stay at POR, with queen beds. I'd rather have been at CBR!!!! Won't make that mistake again. Missed CBR so much we transferred buses at DTD to go over for lunch in the OPR! Feel so much better to be going home in Aug. 2012!!!!!

Does Caribbean Beach has Outdoor Movies please tell me so i won't be confused?

We just got back today and on Wednesday night (8/31) there was a blow up movie screen and they were showing Beauty and the Beast next to the pool bar. I don't know if its something they do regularly though.

We had a great stay at CBR, it may be our new favorite resort! The only negative was the skinny snake my youngest son and I saw slither under a room door. I reported it to concierge and pest management was there within 15 minutes looking for it in the room.

We feel the same way! Just booked our August 2012 stay today and after two failed attempts with other resorts we are going home! Stayed at POR in 2010 and it was a horrible experience! Stayed at Coronado last week and thought it was nice, and the queen beds were nice. BUT...it still couldn't compare to CBR! We can't wait to get back....
as for the bussing situation. At Coronado we waited over an hour one morning, from 8:15 till 9:25 for a Hollywood Studios bus. We also waited almost 45 minutes for a bus out of Epcot one night. The Coronado line was the only one with people still in it!!! I like the many bus stops at CBR because there is never a long walk from the rooms!

It was bldg. 51, room 5105 specifically. We were in 5113 and I was so excited for a first floor room for the first time ever, I'm so glad it was our last night and not the first. I could not believe it went under the door!

Just got back from a wonderful, magical stay at the CBR !!! We were there for 12 nights after 5 nights at the All star Music. The resort is absolutely fabulous. we were in a Pirate room and absolutely love it. The beds were very comfortable. It is a memory foam on the top of a box springs and we found it very comfy and slept very well. The walk to Port Royal was about 6 minutes from our building and it was so pretty....very easy walk. We had a car rental so can't really comment on the bus system. The kids loved hanging out at the quiet pool a lot better than the main pool. Our pool was always empty. The main pool was really busy all the time. When we were there they started kids activities at the pool and movies at night. The movie screen faces the Port Royal so you can't watch the movie from the pool. We liked the movie set up at All Star Music better only because we would watch the movie from the pool. We rented the sea racers couple of times - so much fun. The resort is so beautiful and the staff was always really nice....Let me know if you have any questions. i will try and post photos of the room...

Got in last night. We stayed at CBR (for the third time) during the first half of our vacation -- Aug 26-31. We had a great stay! Everything was wonderful. The room was clean and nice. The grounds were beautiful and the pools were fabulous!! We got our request of a 2nd floor room. Thankfully, as we saw many little creatures everywhere and I don't think I would want to be in a first floor room. Buses were excellent except for one day coming back from DHS in the middle of the afternoon, we had to wait at least 30 minutes for a bus.

I took tons of pictures and will do a full CBR report later this week.

Some questions (even after reading through many many posts!)

Is the highspeed ethernet connection included in the room rate or is it an additional charge?

It's difficult to tell from the pictures posted... but are most rooms 'corner' rooms? Are there size differences between the rooms?

How difficult is it to be assigned a room that's far from any smoking areas? I love WDW but the clustered smoking areas are a nightmare to navigate through or be near with an asthmatic.

It's difficult to tell from the pictures posted... but are most rooms 'corner' rooms? Are there size differences between the rooms?
I don't think so....from what I noticed every third room is a corner room - there would be 2 rooms in the middle and 2 on the outside. I don't think they are bigger but might seem so because of the double large window.

I am sure you can ask for it. All the garden courtyards are smoking. When we were there we had coffee every morning but there were never any people there!
