We just got back from CB aside from our problems with loud neighbors the bus service was not bad....just make sure you don't have connecting rooms unless you are sharing with you Mom.

we were in North Trinidad and the bus stop was right in front of us....food court was busy so we didn't use it except for soda refills.

Coming back from Epcot late was a bit of a wait but no longer then any other resort and we were almost the last stop but still not a big deal.

I hope you have warmer weather too.

just take your time and enjoy

I am just so excited, last night I booked out Disneymoon, we'll be @ CBR (again!) Aug 19-26th w/ some free dining! Woohoo!!!! I just cannot wait! I think I am more excited about the honeymoon than the wedding, is something wrong with me? LoL :cool1:

Congratulations!! You will LOVE CBR (and there's nothing wrong with you!)

I agree with the others. Go in with a positive attitude and hope for the best. :goodvibes That's about all you can do!

The CBR buses have been the best of all the resorts we have stayed at -- CBR, POFQ, POR, OKW, BWI, CSR. And we LOVE the food court and have always found it to have plenty of options for everyone, even my picky eaters!

Have a great trip!

Agree on all counts! The bus service we experienced on our 2 stays was better than POP, CSR, or POFQ.

Can't wait to get the on Saturday!

I laughed when I saw "Pure Michigan". LOL! I'm from MI too. (and we are arriving on the same day!)
In the end I decided to switch to BC. I think it will be better for my Mom overall. Have lots of fun on your trip!

We just returned home from a week stay at CBR. We were there from Nov. 27-Dec 4. We had asked for connecting rooms but received rooms that were next to each other (no problem) We were in Jamaca building 43 and had no problems at all. It was very quiet and the room was kept clean. We received double the soaps/shampoos each day. One thing I noticed is that the inner little courtyard sitting areas are all smoking now! We were right by one, but not many smokers (cold most days) It would have bothered me if many were smoking. It might be something to request to be near or away from depending on if you smoke or not. Last time we stayed at CBR it was neat to be near (before it was a designated smoking area)

This was the first trip that we really didn't use the WDW busses. We did the first day and they were pretty crowded. We were travelling with my 2 yr. old grandson and on the first night return to to the hotel we had to stand (that wasn't the problem many times we have done this) My daughter stood holding my sleeping grandson and not one person offered a seat. My husband offers a seat to a women without a sleeping child. I guess what really bothered me was that there was an able bodied man sitting right there and all he kept doing was looking at her and staring. I finally asked him to stop! He made me sick. I don't know what to think of men that would do this. There were many others but this particular one staring at her just rubbed me the wrong way. We drove the rest of the week and had no problems! We never did this before in all our visits, but actually found it to be quicker.

We had the 'forever' CBR cups and saw many others with them! Some asked where we got them, some people were happy to see them as they reminded them of years gone by. We did see 2 that were very old and a blue color. I found out these were the first ones. I never saw them or have them and we have visited since 1991 at CBR. anyway no problem for those interested in the forever mugs. It was probably the most I've seen on a trip as well!

One thing I did notice (only have a trip in 2000 to compare to) is that the hotel was very less decorated than our previous trip. In 2000, all lamp post had lights/garland. Nothing this time. WDW overall was less decorated (we were there the same exact week as well)

As far as the parks-very crowded! Long waits in my opinion for many attractions. MVMCP on Dec 2 was very crowded as well. The weather was sunny but quite chilly the later part of the week. Shorts for us only Mon and Tues.

Any questions, please ask!

Im so excited. I just booked CBR for Aug 19th to the 26th. I have never stayed here before. Actually this will be my first time in a mod. We have always done value or deleux.

Who Hoo!!!! I can't wait to start planning.

We'll be there in 10 days! Can't wait! I'm calling CBR tomorrow to put in a room request. I think we'd like to be close to OPR. Should I request something specific?

We will arrive on the 16th! We may see each other!:goodvibes

We are all staying in Pirate rooms so we kinda know we will be away from the Food Court and everything... but I think we will be OK.

Good luck and have a fantastic trip! :goodvibes

Has anyone had Garden Grocer deliver to this resort? I know you have to have a 2 hour window for them, but was wondering if they allow you to have a delivery sent to the hotel for your arrival date?
Thanks in advance for your responses!

We've used them the last two stays at CBR. Our Garden Grocer delivery made it to the resort several hours before we did and it was left with Bell Services. When we got to our room, we called Bell Services and they delivered the items directly to our room.

Yay! so glad to know this! We are in a Pirate room for our first night and then we are moving to a preferred room the rest of the week. I think I will ask to have them deliver it for our 2nd room... no sense in hauling it from one room to our next!
I appreciate the response Mickeystoontown!!

You're welcome! I didn't relish the thought of carrying the stuff to our room either when we already had too many suitcases. :rolleyes1 I did tip Bell Services when he delivered our order.

Goes without sayin...we are big tippers... don't know how some people can just walk away or give a blank stare...:rolleyes1 IMHO these folks deserve a little more;) they are helping to spread the pixie dust!pixiedust:!!

This may be in the information in the beginning, so if it is, forgive me, I must have missed it.

Are there king beds in every village, or only certain ones? I'm curious because we're booked under the free dining promo, and my nana, under a room only code (worked out better for her). The only room available for her under that code was a king bed room, and I'd like to request a specific village. Just want to make sure that if we link our ressies together and I put the request in, that it's actually worth making the request in the first place.

Sorry, that was rather long-winded. :lmao:

After 2 years at the Poly, we will be at CBR for first time in Jan. Cannot wait to get back.

Are they good about honoring first floor requests for those of us with kids in strollers. Wasn't an issue at Poly with elevators.

There are king beds in every village except for Trinidad South, which is all POTC rooms.

Good luck with your requests! :goodvibes
