Ok thank you I will just book preferred and request Martinique :thumbsup2 Is this a nice building ? I mean has it been refurbished or is one that is need of being refurbed ? If anyone has stayed in Martinique I would love to hear your experiences :)

We have stayed in Martinique three of our six stays. I think the best Martinique building we have stayed in was Martinique 26. Our walk to Old Port Royal was, maybe, 2 minutes. The other times we were in Martinique 25 and then Martinique 23 which was a non-preferred location.

I thought all of building 25 was preferred. Which ones are preferred and do you think Martinique is a better location than the preferred rooms is Trinidad North ? On the map Trinidad North looks a little farther away ?

Martinique 25 is preferred. Martinique 23 is not. If I had to choose between Martinique and Trinidad North, I'd choose Martinique.

It is supposed to for children 48" and under. You can usually find some bigger kids in there though, and unless it gets a little rowdy in there and the bigger kids are keeping the little ones from getting to the slides and such...they may leave 'em alone. But they certainly can ask any kid taller than 48" to leave the splash area.

When we were there, one lifeguard was being pretty strict about height. Anyone that was too tall he asked to leave the area. He also didn't let parents go up with their children unless they "absolutely" needed help. Although, another day I didn't see anyone checking height. So, it just all depends.

We always book Preferred at CBR and we request Martinique every time, and except for our 1st trip there, and we love Martinique. The resort was just refurbed about 2 or 3 years ago, so it is still pretty fresh.

I think we have decided to stay CBR our next trip.
We want close to the pool and would like a lake view room in Martinique . How is the Martinique building as far as location and has it been refurbised lately ? Oh and we need near a smoking area is there some out on the beach side ?
What I want to request is Martinique on the beach side. Would this be a preferred or water view room ? I'm willing to pay for the preferred or water view room, I just didnt know which that would be ? Or if any of you CBR fans know of a better location please let me know :)Thanks for any help :)

Good Morning - My DD 11 and I love Martinque. we were in # 2116. I have attached a 2 minute and 45 second You Tube video of our July 2011 Trip. It has a few pictures of Martinque. Hope you like it and will help you.

Oh I hope they will allow our oldest DD to stay. She's going to be playing w/ her 2 year old sister. It the reason we chose this resort. So she could "go down the slide w/ Sissy" quoting my 2 year old!

They now have movies every night at 8:30 pm. There were alot of people there every night last week. They use an inflatable big screen next to the bar, and put out short chairs for the kids.

Did they have the bar open? Did it stay open through the whole movie?

Since CBR rooms are 340 sq feet - we may stay there...
But we have a DS age 20 and DD age 17 year old.

Do you think they would like CBR ?

We would pay for a preferred room - I have always wanted to go to Martinique Island, so why not request that area ? ... We went to the :goodvibes real Aruba Island for our honeymoon 27 years ago:goodvibes

:confused3Any suggestion for our family of older kids ?

Our daughter is 24 and our son is 14 and they really enjoy the CBR. The rooms (with the exception of the pirate rooms) have a slight Nemo theme that's not so over-the-top that older kids and adults won't enjoy them. In addition to the main pool (which is awesome) there are quiet pools for you to enjoy. We like to take an afternoon and rent either surrey bikes, bicycles or watermice and our entire family enjoys seeing the resort for a different perspctive. Also, at the marina is a pool table which is free of charge to play.

Every evening, our family would walk down to the beach and relax after spending a long day in the parks. It's a nice way to relax and talk about what we had done that day.

I think there's plenty for a family with older kids to do and the resort has such a laid back feel that is's enjoyable for everybody.

Which islands are the standard rooms in?

There are standard rooms in Martinique (there are also some preferred rooms in Martinique), Barbados, Arbua and Jamaica. All of Trinidad North is preferred and the rooms in Trinidad South are all pirate themed rooms.
