Forgive me if this has been asked recently. I'm wondering, for anyone who has been there in the past couple of months, do they have greek yogurt at the food court or just the regular Yoplait? Thanks! :goodvibes

Good question! I'm curious to know this as well. Chobani in particular!

I wasn't looking for it, but I think they just have the regular yoplait stuff.

We have a preferred room and was wondering if that automatically comes with a frig or do we have to make a request.

Hi everyone!
I'm trying to make my way through all these pages, so I apologize if this has been asked before. We just decided yesterday to head back down (woo hoo!) and we want to stay at CBR. DH and I stayed there for our honeymoon and loved it. We'll be going down the week of Columbus Day (10/9-10/16). My sons are 2 and 5 and my parents are coming with us. Should I book a preferred room or ask for a specific location? At that time of year I'm not sure we'll be using the pool (or will we? I can't remember the temp in Fl that time of year). I obviously don't want to have too far a walk anywhere. Thank you all!

Im packing :banana::banana::banana:

The first page has a picture of only the shampoo / conditioner combo and a bar of soap. Our visit at another mod (CSR) provided lotion - does CBR provide lotion in the room?

TIA

2.5 sleeps to go :cool1: since we have to wake up at 3am to catch our flight the last night doesn't have to count as a whole sleep.

There are towels at the main pool, if you go to the quiet pools take our room towels and request more from housekeeping.

We are leaving in 29 days for CBR & Disney, wahoo! Anyone who has recently been can you attest to the bus/transporation situation. I have heard mixed reviews about long waits, missing reservations, etc. Just trying to get a feel for time frames to allow ourselves to get places.

We've stayed at the CBR 5 years in a row....3 times over the Memorial Day holiday and 2 times in early August. We have never had issues with the buses. The longest wait we have ever had was a 20 minute wait for a DTD bus. Having said that, we always allow extra time to get to our dinner reservations just in case we run into any problems along the way.

I think you'll find that the buses getting to the parks from CBR are not a problem at all. All the complaints seem to be way overblown. CBR is pretty centrally located, so you don't have long rides to/from any park. The one situation where you may encounter problems is if you leave a park right at closing - particularly MK right after Wishes or Epcot right after Illuminations. There will be a huge line waiting for buses. If you're leaving at this time, I suggest hanging back and browsing the shops and/or having a snack for a while (45-60 minutes) before leaving the park. Other than this, you should be fine and not worry about the buses at all.

As for timeframes...I would say be at your bus stop 1 hour before you want to be at MK or AK and about 45 minutes for Epcot and DHS. It seems most people have a longer wait for the DTD/Typhoon Lagoon buses, so you could a little more time for those locations.

No lotion usually in the moderates~

Another thing you can do is if you are at or close to the main pool and heading back to your room, take some pool towels and keep them in your room for when you go to the quiet pools.

Anyone know this ??
Gotta have my Good Coffee Creams :surfweb:

We got back last week, when I went past the condiment area, I remarked to my husband "Oh I need to look at the creamers, someone was asking about them on the DISboards." He gave me a crazy look and humored me as we looked.

Saying that, they do not have flavored creamers :sad1: Sorry.

Hi and :welcome: to the DISboards!

My family and I returned from our second stay at CBR last week (during the dreaded Spring Break/Week after Easter week). We are very happy to report that we waited no more than 5 minutes for buses during our entire stay. That was true for the buses coming and going.

Hope that this helps!

I just switced my kids free package at pop to CBR with free dining. I asked for either Aruba or Jamicia. I didn't ask for a specific building number. Has anyone stayed at the furthest end of either ? Is it still pretty close to the main area?
Thanks

I think trying to get buses back to any resort at park closing or right after a nighttime event is the same for all resorts. We had long waits for buses and standing room only going back at the end of the day to AKL in December.

We just switched our room discount package at CSR for free dining at CBR and I have the same question. Last time we were in Jamaica (bldg 51??) and thought it was pretty darn close, but also wonder about the buildings farther away from the bridge.

No, they're not close to Old Port Royale.

It's true that Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51, along with Martinique 22, are the three non-preferred location buildings closest to Old Port Royale. But Jamaica 41 is the very farthest guest building from Old Port Royale with the exception of the Pirate rooms in Trinidad South. And Aruba 56 is just about as far.

There are 6 villages. Trinidad South is 100% Pirate. Trinidad North is 100% preferred location. Martinique is 50% preferred location and 50% standard. And Aruba, Barbados and Jamaica are 100% standard.

If you're requesting an entire village, it depends on your view of gambling. If you request Aruba or Jamaica, your gamble is that you could end up in one the very very closest buildings OR you could end up in one of the very very farthest buildings OR anything in between. You have those highs and lows. If you request Barbados, you're pretty much guaranteed a "middle of the road" location ... you definitely won't get one of the closest buildings, but you definitely won't get one of the farthest buildings, either.

And if you request the non-preferred location portion of Martinique, your odds of getting it are lower because there are only three buildings in that portion of the village (whereas there are six buildings in Aruba, Barbados and Jamaica).

Make sense?

When I asked for the Free Dining deal using our pin code, I was told it was only available when booking a pirate room--which are definitely not in Jamaica or Aruba. Was your FD not a pin code? I'm jut curious b/c FD would save us money but we were not willing to stay in a pirate room.

Can you request a corner room ????
Do they have more space or does it just seam that way ???
