When I called today, they had my reservation/info in their system. So hopefully, you'll be able to do it tomorrow without a problem.:thumbsup2

I really hope so! Did you call the resort number (407-934-3400) to make your room requests?

You were right! I called the resort line and she wasn't able to pull up my reservation. She said when you book through an outside agent they sometimes can't pull up the reservation until 3 days before. She said that all the reservations get downloaded to the resort's system, and that just hasn't happened yet for my reservation. Ugh! So disappointed! :sad1:

Tara, I know we were posting back and forth the other day about this Travelocity stuff...definitely try again tomorrow. I've called CBR three times to clarify a couple of things, and they told me 10 days each time I've called. Since I'm going on the 29th, I'd assume I should call on the 19th, but it looks like from what others have posted, I need to do it on the 20th. I'd hate for you to wait another week, and then not have any luck...try tomorrow!

Thanks! I think I will try again tomorrow! The woman on the phone was very apologetic about not being able to see my reservation. She said she felt so bad telling me it wasn't there yet.

So it looks like there will be three of us DIS members checking in the 27th, 28th, and 29th. Can't wait!!!!!! :yay:

Can anyone tell me if Southwest Airlines has added a Resort Airline Check-in to CBR? We were able to take advantage of this at YC and it was a huge help.

I don't now the answer to your question, but I don't think it's silly. When we changed our ressie to free dining I switched our request to Jamaica 44,45, Martinique 22, and Barbados 15. I had requested Aruba 51, but just couldn't handle the purple/pink buildings. :upsidedow

I am so glad I am not the only one who thinks the Pepto Bismol color scheme of the Aruba buildings is hideous! I am even considering telling them at check in I don't even want a room facing them either!:sad2:

Us too! We've been quite a lot, but have never stayed at CBR. It's my son's first time...he's two. I think he's going to be afraid of everything, so I might be at the resort all the time! I'm sure we'll love it. Never had a bad time or a bad resort/room!

Yes, I did. It doesn't really go to the resort intially, but they will transfer you to the resort.

I am however, having trouble doing the online check-in.

48" is correct. During our May trip, I noticed them running the older kids out of there on a regular basis. My DS7 was 49" and they never said anything to him. Any kid that was obviously too old was ushered out though. They mentioned that a little one had been hurt in the preceding days so I'm sure that had something to do with it.

Thank you!!! and Momof2Disneyboys, thanks, too!!

That's kinda what I was thinking/remembering, so I'm so glad y'all comfirmed it. My little girl is roughly 47 1/2" right now, so by December, she'll probably be about 48 1/2". She wants to hang out in the older pool half the time anyway, but I know she'll want to play some with her little brother who loves the little themed pool area. :)

thanks again!!!

We are finally to our 10 day mark! I am planning on calling to make a room request today. Hopefully, they will now have my reservation since we booked through Travelocity. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows the answer to my question.

Does anyone know if the distance from the standard Martinique rooms to OPR would be the same as the distance from Jamaica 45 or 46 to OPR? These are the areas I would like to stay. It might be silly, but I'm basing it on building color. My husband and I stayed in the pink Aruba buildings in 2001 and I just don't want to stay in those again.

I didn't think they had ressies in the system until 4days out. I guess if they are saying call back tomorrow I would call back tomorrow and everyday until it is in the system.

What have your experiences been with using DME from MCO?

Another question...regarding RAC. We are flying via Delta. Will we be able to check our bags at CBR on our check-out day? (I hope so!)

Where can you fill up the resort mugs?

Is there only one hot tub?

Which quiet pool is the nicest - most relaxing?

Do they have resort music playing all over the resort?

TIA!
So I know some of you questions were answered about DME but I wanted to say we LOVE DME and never rent a car and family always say why don't you come for a visit and drive over from Disney then I tell them we don't have a car it is great cause then they have to come and see us or they don't see...it's great!
I am not sure how much I can help with your other questions cause I have never been to CBR but what I've read from others...

Fill up resort mugs at OPR...CS area it's the same at all resorts you fill them at the soda fountain in the CS area.

Yes only one hot tub

Every island area has their own quiet pool so I would imagine it doesn't matter. At other resorts the quiet pools are never used at least in my experience. All quiet pools are the same.

I believe they do have the music going through out the resort but again I haven't been to CBR yet but I will know in 31days:woohoo:

Can anyone tell me if Southwest Airlines has added a Resort Airline Check-in to CBR? We were able to take advantage of this at YC and it was a huge help.

SW is not added to RAC yet! They need to make more room for the luggage.

Hope this helps everyone and if I am mistake on anything I am sure someone will correct me

You're welcome! :goodvibes

I'm sure she'll be fine in there with her little brother. Have a great time! pirate:

Yes only one hot tub

There are 2 hot tubs at CBR now! Ever since they redid the pool in 2008.

We are seriously considering moving our March trip to Thanksgiving b/c we got a fd pin we could use for that time, but our usual resort, CSr is sold out on the pin. Can someone tell me a littel about why you like CBR to put my mind at ease about giving up my Queen beds?? It is as spread out as it looks on the map? What would be agood room location request if we ar not booking preferred and want to be reasonably close to a food cout and as close as possible to a bus stop? How likely are you to get a room request?

A lot of questions I know, but my head is swimming here. I thought I had it all planned out, but Thanksgiving is really better for me than Mardi Gras with school.

We have stayed at both CBR and CSR and love CBR SO much more!!

If you don't have a problem with the size of CSR, then you won't have a problem with the size of CBR. It is no more spread out. As far as great standard buildings close to OPR - Jamaica 44, 45, 46, Aruba 51, 52, and Martinique 22 are all great locations. Five minutes or less to OPR. And each village has it's own quiet pool and bus stop, so you are always close to those.

Not having the queen beds does not bother us. It's only a difference of about 5". And we'd rather have the extra floor space anyway since we take an air mattress for the kids.

The reasons we love CBR - It is very beautiful, tropical, and lush. :goodvibes Very quiet, relaxing, and fun too. The rooms are slightly larger than the other moderates and there are double sinks with lots of storage space underneath. The food court is great and so are the buses. We love the white sand beaches and hammocks. You can see the higher parts of IllumiNations from many places within the resort. And the pools and slides are the absolute best! :thumbsup2

Hope that helps!

I am however, having trouble doing the online check-in.

They had my reservation in the system when I called today! I was able to request Jamaica or non-preferred Martinique! :yay:

Also, I called the reservation line and they were able to give me my Disney confirmation number. I was able to pull up our reservation in order to do online check-in!!!! :woohoo:

Thanks so much. I really think I am sold on the idea of moving up to thanksgiving. I was able to get decent ADR's and it would make for a much less rushed trip for us. Now all I have to do is convince DH that it is a good idea to move the trip up!!

Thank you to everyone who answered about the pool slide. DS will be so happy to use it:).

I already had my confirmation number...but, I was finally able to get it done

I have requested building 45 (Jamaica) or 51 (Aruba) - plus, we have a water-view reservation.

Enjoy!

Yay, Tara! :thumbsup2When is your actual check-in date? I can't remember if you were one, or two days earlier than me (we're on the 29th). I'm so glad you didn't wait until the 3 days before! I think I have to wait until tomorrow, and haven't even tried today.
