Woke up this morning feeling really refreshed and ready to go!!. It was Friday and at breakfast we couldnt believe how busy it was at CBR....seems to be popular at the weekend!!. It was the first time I had to queue to get breakfast but still plenty of tables free and as soon as people were finishing their breakfast the cleaners were there so certainly no cause for complaint for anyone. We had got to breakfast a little earlier than usual and sat near the shop where 2 of the ladies who did the towel animals had set a table up. Sam sat mesmorised as she made him a bunny (small enough to bring home!!) and then a beautiful lilypad with 4 frogs on it. That went straight onto the window so the frogs could look out of our room and after we heard lots of people mention it as they walked by. I had never seen a lilypad and frogs before!!.
After breakfast we decided to go to Epcot. We had a reservation for 5.00pm at Prime Time Cafe and I didnt want Sam to fall asleep again so I told them all we were not rushing and there would be plenty of breaks whilst at Epcot. Last year we did Epcot in half a day and it was only when we got home that we realised we had missed half of it so we had a semi plan of what we were going to do. We new the 'Living Seas' was closed for the whole time of our holiday and we were disappointed as we wanted to talk to the Turtle but we knew restorations have to be done sometimes!!. Last year we didnt do Mission Space or Test Track purely because of the length of the quese (upto 2 hr wait) even with a fast pass it was a long wait. As we came in August last year the heat was intense and Sam being only 5 it was difficult so this year Tom had his fingers crosssed whilst travelling to Epcot on the bus. We walked straight over to Test Track and waited such a long time....at least 2 minutes!!!!. We were still getting over the shock of no queues!! We had not heard much about this ride and can I say we all came off thinking how brilliant it is.....very underated!!!!!. Certainly in my top 3 rides. Its a great family ride and its hard to find a ride that with such different ages in our children that we all got a thrill on!!. We all agreed this ride was to be riden again!!.
Dougy and Tom wanted to ride Mission Space now I knew by the film shown at CBR it was not for me!!. I was not to keen on Sam going on it either so we were having to wait (again!!) however I was really impressed with the indoor area where Mission Space is. There was a space theme climbing frame/tunnels for Sam (he came out $2.00 richer as found loads of loose change whilst going round!!) and I stood happily emailing friends from the 'Space' internet station. Dougy and Tom came through the doors....Dougy looking a bit green he confirmed he wouldnt go on it again and Tom said he was pleased he had ridden it as mates at school has talked about it but he said he was not to keen and his chest hurt!!. Thought it best if we calmed it down a bit so we looked in a few shops. Boys had an ice cream and then we went on Honey I shrunk the Audience.
It was time to go round the world....now this year I decided NOT to start in Canada and then onto UK as last year we got as far as the Rose & Crown and ended up staying in there and not got round the rest so this year it was agreed to go in the opposite direction. It was nice just to stroll along, it was very hot again with no cloud so nice just to go into the shops etc and in the shade. I loved Mexico the vibrant colours and the smell from the restaurant was lovely. We went on the Mexico and Denmark rides. When we were nearly in England I could here the Beatles playing we had missed them last year so it was great to listen to them although Dougy kept lovingly looking over to the Rose & Crown!!. When the Beatles ended we went over to the rose & Crown (fastest walking Dougy had done since we had been on holiday!!) We were lucky to get a seat and appreciated it as the feet needed a rest. It was nice to have half a lager and the kids gulped their drinks down!!. When Dougy went to the bar for a second drink there was a roar of laughter from the bar. He came back chuckling away to himself and explained whilst att the bar a very loud American man had come in and said he had been in hundreds of British bars and that none were like this and was moaning away......he then asked the Barmaid if he could have a Guiness Lite. Well all the British laughed and he couldnt understand what was so funny!. Dougy has to explain!.
After this we looked around the English and Candian parts and then decided time was getting on so we should get the boat over to MGM.
This was lovely as we had never used the boat before nor had we been to the Boardwalk so my first sight of that was exciting. Whilst on the boat it was agreed we should go to the Boardwalk one evening. It was lovely docking at the other hotels. Once at MGM it was time to go to Prime Time for tea....we came last year so knew what to expect and reminded the children to remember their manners or face the conciquences!!.
As we had a reservation there was hardly any wait and we had a table which had its own TV. Tom was dying to try the Meatloaf, Dougy ordered the fried chicken, I ordered the Pot Roast and Sam wanted a smaller version of Pot Roast. Once ordered the kids started to interact with the waiters and watch the old shows on TV. The waiter made Tom lay the table (much to his disgust!!) however the waiter informed him when it was done it was not of a good standard and made him stand up and do it again. The food came and was delicious!!....the Pot Roast was the best I had ever eaten and it melted in my mouth!. The boys ate it all up (including all veg!!) so they got a round of applause from the other diners. Now Tom thought he would get clever and started to put his elbows on the table, he was warned by the waiter but he did it again.....big mistake....The waiter made him stand on his chair and sing and act out 'Im a little teapot' in front of everyone. He tried to sing quietly put the waiter kept stopping him and restart at the beginning with 'louder Tom we need to hear it louder'. For a 12 year old this was so embarrasing I had tears of laughter rolling down my face as did Sam and Dougy. I took loads of photos as he went through the song!!. I have never seen Tom so embarassed or quiet when he sat back down again but he took it well!!. They got huge desserts for eating their veg and overall it was a brilliant dinner. We couldnt decide what to do next but the boys really wanted to go back to CBR as Tom had planned to meet his new friends back there the night before. Sam had yet to meet them but there were some kids his age aswell so it was agreed we would just go back. At first I was a little miffed as it was our 4th night and we had yet be out after 7.00pm!!.....but my boys love the pool on any holiday we go to so I could not refuse!!. Dougy and I went to the outside bar next to the pool and we had a lovely evening. We could see the boys and their friends and we were making new friends ourselves with a lovely couple from Philidelphia. They reminded me so much of my parents and they were Disney Vacation Owners so were telling us the pros/cons of it. Jo Jo the barmaid was on so the cocktails were flowing. It was really a lovely evening and as the couple were staying for 10 days we knew we would see them again as they were at the bar most evenings they loved our boys and I knew we would become good friends (holiday grandparents for the boys!!). Strolled back to the room at 11.30 after the boys had a sandwich from the shop (tuna which was really nice!!)....very very happy and contented (and of course the boys had to jump into the Martinque village pool as we walked by!!)

Another great trip report! Not sure I want to go on Mission Space after reading it tho!

Lovely report again and I am glad I did skip Mission Space this year.

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

At first I was a little miffed as it was our 4th night and we had yet be out after 7.00pm

We didn't manage to get out late at all! Nearest was seeing a movie which finished at 7.30 pm, then DS(5) started to fall asleep in his chips once we got back to the resort! So we never saw any fireworks or Spectro the whole two weeks

really enjoying your TR
Thanks for sharing

Another great day - DH and I are trying 50's Prime Time during our second week, I can't wait. I had already decided to have the pot roast but after reading how much you enjoyed it, it's a definite ;) How great that you all made friends during the trip :)

What a lovely day you had. A nice easy day at Epcot and 50s Prime Time sounds like a lot of fun. I was really laughing, reading the part about your son singing I'm a Little Teapot.

Sounds like you all had a fantastic day :goodvibes
