my son is 12 months turning 13 months on our trip. we bought him a seat and we are using disney transportation and so im thinking we would just leave his seat and get the harness but im not sure if it would work so young. he 25 ilbs but i heard it sometimes deos not fit well that young. has anyone ever used this at that age?

I'm curious also about this as well. We are planning our daughter's first trip to WDW next October at this time and she will be 15 months old, not sure how much she will weigh at that time :) I'm hoping to leave the car seat at home and use the CARES system. We're probably going to use Tiffany Town car service so we will use their car seat for travel to WDW from the airport.

The mfr. recommendation is that a child must be at least 1 yr. old, at least 22 lbs., and able to sit front-facing in order to use it. Those are the minimums.

Personally, I don't think I'd use one for a child less than 2 yrs. old; IME they just don't have the language yet to be able to understand why they have to sit in it and not mess with the straps. In my years of travelling with kids, I found 14-18 mos. to be the absolute worst period for squirm-meister behaviour on planes, and I was always really glad to have a carseat to be able to firmly restrain them during those times.
