Careerstart Program

I noticed there was a topic awhile back, but I didn't think it was polite to post on a couple month old topic. So I decided to start a new one.

Anyone currently in the Careerstart want to share some experiences with the folks that are still waiting on their letters? I would be very appreciative.

I applied in march, had my interview on the 26th of March and is waiting for my letter still. The reason it took them so long is because I don't turn 18 until Sept 5th, and they had to make the decision to have me come in with the college kids exactly on my birthday. So I am very unsure If I'm in the program or not, but I'd like to hear of what experiences you all have had thus far.

I have a telephone interview in the morning for Disneyland CareerStart. However, I didn't notice any information on housing like DisneyWorld offers. Does this mean no housing is available through Disneyland?

Also, any details from past members of CareerStart would be greatly appreciated!

You have to find your own housing if you are going to do the program at Disneyland.

Wow...I shudder to think of housing costs in Anaheim! Does Disney offer any tips?

So far...I think Disney World has a way better offer!

I had my interview this morning and was accepted into the program instantly.

However, I am still awaiting my response from DisneyWorld's CareerStart.

How long did it take from them to respond to your application (I faxed mine, because I watched the epresentation online) so I am just waiting for a call from them for a phone interview. My guess is around 24 hours but I'm not sure.

Also, if you go to Disneycareerstart.com, they have an e-mail address to send them an e-mail if you haven't received your letter yet. That might be something you'll want to look into, just in case you need to re-apply or something.

If they have your application they won't tell you. Or atleast they didn't tell me they received mine. On the phone interview, they do say they received it. If they did not they want you to reschedule, they need your application on file before they can conduct the interview. I watched a presentation at my local university for the College Program, and they scheduled mine then, not sure about E- Presentations.

I called the office and they said I should be receiving my response this week. If not I need to e-mail them to get it resent.
