Hey guys Im new at this board so forgive if me if I sound stupid. Im wanting to do the career start but I from what I understand the fall is full already so I was wanting to do Career Start in the Spring Session of 09. I have enrolled at a community college just to take some basic courses and I graduated from high school in June. Can I still be able to do Career Start? Or should I try the College Program? Any help would be awesome. THANKS!!!

You can participate in the CareerStart program, but seeing as you will have completed one semester of your college education, you would be eligible for (and highly recommended to apply to) the College Program. The two programs are nearly identical, and having completed a term of school, you should look toward the College Program as it offers additional roles and arrival/departure dates not available to CareerStart participants.

Ok sounds good but what do you mean by additional roles and arrival and departure stuff? How long would the college program be?

There's fifteen types of roles available to College Program participants, whereas the CareerStart Program only offers seven, I believe.

As far as the arrival and departure dates go, the College Program is reflected by several program season options - Spring (January - May), Spring Advantage (January - August), Spring Advantage Quarter (March - August), Fall (August - January), Fall Advantage (May - August) and Fall Advantage Quarter (June - August). Each one of these program seasons offer a number of arrival and departure dates, so if you apply early, you can apply for a season and accept a date that is most convenient for you.

To compare, the CareerStart Program offers two seasons - Spring (February - August) and Fall (August - January). Each one of these seasons typically have just one arrival and one departure date combo.

Man you are really know a lot about this. Thank you so much!! Should I apply at the College Program now for the spring?
