Care to fly like this to WDW?

I think I'll pass. lol

Remember, it's an article based on an article that reads like the design company's advertising budget sponsored it...

And they say "the planes would be able to carry up to 10 per cent more passengers, so long as safety approval is granted. "

How on earth would safety approval be granted for those???

i wonder what they consider a "short trip"? to me that DEFINATELY isnt disney world (unless its from say sanford to mco)...lol

Considering how little most consumers consider convenience and or comfort in comparison to the lowest price as shown often on this forum when choosing an airline, I wouldn't doubt many people despite saying they wouldn't choose this, would end up doing it in the end because its cheaper.

Two things come to mind when I view that pic:

1) Being seated sideways instead of facing forward or rear in the plane puts a whole different set of streeses on the passenger. As the plane accellerates or decellerates, you are pushed sideways into your neighbor - unpleasant for just about everybody.

2) No armrests are impossible for me to bear. I have back problems and I need some support for my arms when I sit, or I wind up with back pain; those seats would be incredibly uncomfortable for me.

My guess is that European airlines will probably be the first to implement this design, and IF it's approved by FAA it will come to America several years later.

Well....I'll be the odd one and say I would, if it was cheaper. For us, flying to Orlando is always a series of two short flights - Little Rock to Atlanta and Atlanta to Orlando. Both are really short flights and I don't think it would bother me for that little bit of time.

I would, too. I'd prefer arm rests, though.
