Care care center or Dolphin

Staying at the All Star Sports and renting a car for one day. Which place should I rent from? The Dolphin or the Car Care Center? Not sure if one is a better choice than the other. Help!

Without transporation, isn't it easier to get from All Stars to the Dolphin? Disney transportation will get you to the Dolphin rather easily.

Just take the all star bus to MGM and take the boat over to the dolphin. If you are in a hurry I guess you could get a taxi. Maybe you could arrange it on an early entry day for MGM. Might save a little time.

They have a shuttle van that will pick you up at your resort and take you to GET your car. However when you return your car you are on your own for transportation.

Now, with that said. We tried this on Sat. Jan. 17th and had no luck at all! We tried calling and calling to get the shuttle to pick up DH and they kept hanging up on him! He would call back and they would seem baffled at how that happened but it did 3 times! So DH gave up and took the bus to MGM, then the boat to dolphin. It takes about an hour to do this. As this is how he picked up and returned the car and both times was about an hour.

Maybe you will have better luck with the shuttle van. We stayed at Pop Century and saw the van several times that week at the hotel. Of course if it stops at several hotels before taking you to the dolphin then you may be better off to go the other route.

What rental companies are located at these two locations... Anyone know..? We've got a mini-van scheduled for PU at the Double Tree in DTD, but if I can get one closer, I'd like try that location....

We have a car reserved at the CCC. They had a special going for weekends. Got an intermediate car for $98 (out-the-door) from 9 a.m. Friday till 9 a.m. Monday. I found it to be cheaper to get it from the CCC vs. Dolphin. I spoke with a lady at the CCC counter and she told me they will send a shuttle to get me and will shuttle me back when I drop the car off. I was told to have our front desk call the CCC to arrange the shuttle the day before.

We rented a car with what we thought was a Dolphin pick up/drop off. We did this mid vacation and called for directions from OKW. We were told to be at the Hosp House and a complimentary van would pick up DH and take him to the car. He was not taken to the Dolphin but to the CCC and the car was waiting for him. When he returned the car to the Car Center a van brought him back to OKW.

Since the car price is the same at both places, I guess I will make the reservations with the car care center, especially if they offer suttle service to and from. I will call them for more details. Thanks for your help!
