Cards & Pockets

Can past brides give us an idea of how much these cost to mail? I'm hearing crazy amounts. Thanks.

I haven't had mine weighed yet, but they should come in under 2 ounces... which would make them ~ 60 cents each. Pretty standard for a wedding invite.

Jaxteach you were my inspiration as well-I think I even got the castle clip art from you!!! :goodvibes:

Hi Would you be able to post that graphic of the castle? My email is Gapdc25@gmail.com if you would rather email it.

Thanks

I used the pocketfolds from Cards & Pockets (saphire metallic). I purchased the pocketfolders, mat, and envelopes & return envelopes from Cards & Pockets. I made the inserts myself from regular white card stock-- which was the tricky part. I'm sure if you are ordering all the pre-cut stuff from their website you won't have quite the fiasco I had measuring things, etc.

I used a color laser printer to print my wedding stationery on. There isn't "silver" ink-- it won't look metallic. But you can play around with the colors and find a light gray that might work.

I made my invitations and inserts with MS Word. I have the file if anyone ever needs it. I used 4x6 white card stock from Michael's for the invites and 8.5"x10" white cardstock for the inserts (those all had to be cut down and it was a bit of a pain).

Once you get your "sample" done, it's not difficult to print it all out. Putting them together isn't difficult, either, just time consuming. I only made about 20 invites and it took me an entire Friday night and Saturday morning to put them together once they were printed.

Here is what my invitations looked like:

Hey there... What was the wording and the insert cards you have?
Also what was the size pocket you ordered from cards & pockets?

Do you all add the preaddressed and prepaid envolpe for the rsvp for the guest?

we're making our RSVP cards postcards, so we're throwing a clear mailing label & a postcard stamp on the back.... the envelope that fits in the pocket is too small for the RSVP cards we made, so a postcard seemed to be the perfect solution.

I was also thinking of ordering the saphire metallic pocketfolders. They are running a sale through the end of the week, so I don't have time to take advantage of the sale and order a sample. (or do I?)

I am most concerned about the color. I have previously shopped at Archiver's and the color that I want is like this navy here: www DOT archiversonline DOT com/ideas/1011 (sorry this is my first DIS post)

Can you comment on how this compares to the Saphire? Also, should I be worried about the quality of the stock of the pocketfolder or is it really as good as everyone says.

I am asking about the quality bc I am planning on mailing it without the outer envelope to save on paper (and cost).

Thanks for your help!!!
