Hi Guys (or Girls I should say..princess: )
I just ordered some samples from Cards and Pockets and wanted to ask...
For those that have used them, was it hard to print out all the cards/invites/evelopes? Im technically challenged when it comes to printers and programs to use them:badpc: . I'm wondering how hard of a time I will have. Also, are you able to get silver ink for your printer?? :confused3 (See? Told you I'm challenged lol:rotfl: )

Thanks!! :goodvibes

We are so wedding twins! We seem to have so much in common lol... we're using Cards and Pockets too. What color samples did you order?? I was going to order samples but am being kind of lazy. I wonder if you got the colors I was looking at!

Sorry I can't really help though... I think we are using a gray type font that looks silverish but it's not actually silver. :confused3

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Want to save money and just get married together??
I ordered "Something Blue" for the pocket color, but then also ordered two other blue swatches, Hydrangea and something else (totally having a blonde moment here :cutie: ) I also ordered a mock-up kit so I can try to put it all together and even print some out. It was like $15, but I'm sure well worth it.

So stop being lazy and go order girl!! :surfweb:

Sure, I'd be fine with getting married together! lol :lmao: I'm sure our DF's wouldn't mind either! haha....

The colors sound pretty! I like the hydrangea!

I was looking at the Light Aqua in the metallic, but am scared it has a green tint to it that I can't see in pictures online. Did you get any metallic samples?

I used the pocketfolds from Cards & Pockets (saphire metallic). I purchased the pocketfolders, mat, and envelopes & return envelopes from Cards & Pockets. I made the inserts myself from regular white card stock-- which was the tricky part. I'm sure if you are ordering all the pre-cut stuff from their website you won't have quite the fiasco I had measuring things, etc.

I used a color laser printer to print my wedding stationery on. There isn't "silver" ink-- it won't look metallic. But you can play around with the colors and find a light gray that might work.

I made my invitations and inserts with MS Word. I have the file if anyone ever needs it. I used 4x6 white card stock from Michael's for the invites and 8.5"x10" white cardstock for the inserts (those all had to be cut down and it was a bit of a pain).

Once you get your "sample" done, it's not difficult to print it all out. Putting them together isn't difficult, either, just time consuming. I only made about 20 invites and it took me an entire Friday night and Saturday morning to put them together once they were printed.

Here is what my invitations looked like:

JaxTeach - Your invites are my inspiration!!! It was your pic I saved! What size pocket did you get the rectangle or the square? Could you send me your format? I really loved your invites!

I also a TON of samples, basically all the metallics in Green and Blue. The deep green color is really pretty too as is the Sapphire.

The Aqua actually looks baby blue to me, less Green. The Tiffany color is more green

LoL..too funny :)

I didn't order any metallic samples from them, but I did order some photofetti (from photofetti.com :thumbsup2 lol) and pciked a light blue metallic, it came out more seafoam green...but still cute :cutie:

I got the rectangle 5x7 Signature pocketfolder. PM your email address and I will send the Word file to you. I'm glad to help any way I can!

Thanks! I had the clipart made on the DIS Creative board. I actually found it just searching around the DIS (the castle was green). I asked the ladies on the Creative boards to make it blue.

You can download the Disney font. There are several, but try a Google search on "Waltograph." There is also a Mickey Mouse font which is where I got the mouse ears on my inserts. The other fonts I used were Copperplate Gothic and I can't remember the other one. They are both regular Word fonts.

I can post the clipart later if you'd like. I'm glad to help in any way!

Jaxteach you were my inspiration as well-I think I even got the castle clip art from you!!! :goodvibes:

Aww, thanks! :) Your invites are beautiful. I am so glad I found the pocketfolder idea-- they are perfect for Disney weddings! Are your inserts white card stock on silver card stock? They look nice!

Thank you! I matted all with a lighter blue and the invitation double matted with the same blue and metallic silver.

I'm very grateful to have found everyones great ideas, it saved us a ton & I like to do projects!:)

I am SOOO stealing all of your ideas! I think cards and pockets is an awesome concept and they really look fantastic. It seems like there is a lot you can do with them! If anyone has any more info on how to use these effectively or formats, etc, please send them my way!! Your invitations look great! :thumbsup2

JaxTeach: We are planning on honeymooning in DLP too! I'm going to have to get some info from you on that when it gets closer to the time!

I'm using the light aqua pocketfolds from cards and pockets... here's a pic of my original mock-up... making the real thing with my FMIL tomorrow...

it's not too green, but would look more greenish if you use green accents. it was perfect for us, since our colors are teal & lavender anyway.
