Card/Card Candy Swap Interest Thread
Im going to be hostessing a Card/Card Candy Swap! While this is my first time hostessing on this board, I have a great deal of swap hostess experience, but please go easy on me
I was thinking of the following for categories (for both Cards and Card Candy) with groups of 4 2 male and 2 female spots for each:
This list is not exhaustive and Im open to suggestions.
If there is interest, we could also do some Disney groups. For the Disney groups, we could include groups of Princess/Fairies for girls, and Cars/Fab 5/Others (Spongebob, Sesame Street), for boys.
Would there be interest in limiting the cardstock to Bazzill? Bazzill is (generally) easy to find and match. There is no limit on the patterned papers you use.
As far as requirements, your card candy should be handmade and consist of 4-6 items which have at least 2 layers. For example, a small scalloped circle with a stamped image on it, matted by a second layer. This is not a hard and fast rule, obviously. If you include a 4x5.25 piece of cardstock which has been embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, it would count as one item, and need not be layered. Please use your discretion and send items that you would use!
For your cards please include at least 2 layers (your card base counts as one), and each card should include an envelope in which it will fit. You may want to embellish your envelope as well, but this is not a requirement. Again, please use your discretion and send items that you would use!
Since this is a pretty quick and easy swap, I would like to open signups on June 12th and have these due to me by July 24th. This would give you about 6 weeks to make your items and get them to me. Is this doable?
Some examples of Card Candy.
I downloaded all of these from www.splitcoaststampers.com, which has a great gallery and tons of other ideas:
Colors?
Disney:
A note about packaging while this is adorable, there is no need to package your items like this. I will request the normal packaging protocol be followed, however.
Any questions, please feel free to ask!

I was thinking of the following for categories (for both Cards and Card Candy) with groups of 4 2 male and 2 female spots for each:
- Adult Birthday
- Kid Birthday
- Adult Thank You
- Kid Thank You
- Just Because/Thinking of You
- Baby (2 girl/2 boy)
- Congratulations
- General Family Christmas (no male/female just a group of 4)
- Other Holidays? Halloween, Thanksgiving, New Years, etc.?
- We could also do groups by colors like the Color Swap?
- We could also do groups with specific papers, like the Color Swap (a lot of us will have Basic Grey scraps!)?
