Well, our carbon monoxide detectors went off last night
and I had to call the gas company. Of course we left the house and waited until the gas comany man came to do readings. As it turned out, we had a short in the detectors (ceiling mounted) and everything was fine. But we do have wall plug in detectors as well, one on each floor. In conversation, the gas company man told us not to bother with the wall plug-ins as a back up stating that they do no good...
I guess this is his opinion, but I was wondering what others know about them. Why not? I'm always cautious and that is why we have a backup...
