DBF and I moved in to an Apartment complex in Delaware 3/1/11. It’s a nice place, and we have friend that live in another building. This morning DBF and I came out to the car at 550am to find that the car had been egged! Shells stuck to the window, egg all over the driver side windows, doors, and roof. Who the heck does this anymore? TBF, we checked other cars still parked there and no one else had gotten egged. Did we piss someone off? What did we do to deserve this or is it just a random egging… grr.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Did you "take" someone elses parking space??? Not that anyone "owns" a certain spot, or maybe they are assigned to certain apartments, but some people get really weird about things like this:confused3.

Sorry it happened. If someone egged my car, I would be pissed too!!!!

We had this happen to us in our neighborhood 3-4 times, but we think it was a case of mistaken identity in that our neighbor across the street had their cars hit, too. Those were the only ones that got hit on the street, and we think it was tied to their high school age kids and ours got caught in the crossfire.

not that we are aware of.... we parked in the "extra" spaces along the road, not the close spaces by the buildings. There are always extra spaces around us.. :confused3

yeah I thought that too, but we don't have kids... just a dog and a cat :)

I was DD for a wedding last year and when I got back to the car I parked on the street of a friend's house it was egged. It washed off and while it was a pain I'd rather than then have the car keyed since it didn't cost me anything.

Probably was a case of mistaken identity.

We moved to Delaware 20 years ago and have never had any of our property vandalized even on Mischief Night. We don't even see kids out on Mischief Night.

I had my car egged one Halloween. It was a pain but i couldnt be that mad because when i was younger i went out a egged houses one Halloween. When i did it it was just random and i assume my car getting egged was too. I made sure to park in the driveway every year after that.

Your case is alittle strange tho since it was on a normal day. It couldve just been bored kids. Are the schools out this week in your area?

A few weeks ago a customer at my workplace got her car keyed because she "stole" someones spot. Fortunatly we have cameras in the parking lot so we had the guys lisence plate.

This is going to be hard to figure out. Just wash it off and try to let it go as a mistaken identity random event.

My car got egged about a week ago. :confused3 It either happened at my bf's apartment (which i doubt) or at my sister's house where i spent the night that night... maybe kids like to throw eggs at cars now....

That's terrible!!

I haven't heard of egging people's cars in a long time. :(

My car got egged in 2008 i was at my boyfriends cousins' house and my car got egged and do did his cousins! i was furious but we rode to the car wash and wassed it all of immediately! On top of that i had just got my car painted and all done up heres a picture of it:

Somebody did it to mine a few years ago sitting in my own driveway, they also did it to my neighbor's car. Who knows who did it, I imagine the motivation is the fact I work in a school (but it was over the summer), however I have no idea why they did my neighbor's car too. Just hosed it off and that was the end of it.

That is horrible, It's kind of weird they only got yours, I would see if the apt complex has security cameras in the parking lot.

Just a week and a half ago, my vehicle was stoned--at least it appears that way since small rocks from a plant bed were all over our driveway and in our neighbor's driveway. The windshield cracked and had to be replaced.:headache: We think it may have been some young kids in the neighborhood, but there's no proof.

Our car was hit by a couple eggs in the middle of winter several years ago. Most of it ran off the car and we didn't wash it right away. The egg etched the paint. Lesson learned there. Wash right away. Maybe car finishes are better these days.

It is kinda weird that only your DB's car was egged. Maybe you made somebody mad and didn't even know it.

DH got his truck egged one time by some neighborhood kids that he made mad at him.

One time when I left work at the end of the day (around 4:30), I walked to my blazer and the driver's side of the glass in the rear was smashed in. And two days later, our old truck, which sat in our driveway when we were at work, got the driver's window bashed in.:scared1:

I think someone was stalking us, but have no idea who it could have been. But both incidents were very deliberate. It was no accident.

That's what I've always heard too.

I told a couple of twenty-somethings at the complex where I live that they were parked in a handicap space ("Did you know you're parked in...?").

I went out the next day to find my car egged. Must have been a coincidence ;)

I hope that you were able to get it all washed off and that your paint did not get ruined in the process:headache:.
