Car Top Carriers for rent???

We are going to be driving our party of 5 in a minivan to Orlando in April. We want to rent (not buy) a hard shell car top carrier for luggage. I am not coming up with anything on the internet. Can anyone give me some help? I live in NE Ohio.

about 8 years ago, we rented one from u-haul - did you try there? I heard that they don't rent them much any more, as the soft carriers are about the same price to buy as the hard carriers were to rent..

We bought ours at a garage sale. For $10. Try freecycle.org and see if anyone has one that they want to give away. Good luck!

Thanks...I am worried about someone being able to cut into a soft one when we stay overnight on the way and way back. I will check into UHaul, although they didn't come up with google search.

I bought one and check them out and did alot of internet and store shopping. checked out Thule, Yakima (both too expensive) and Sears and finally bought one at Dick's Sporting Goods for $199. It holds alot of gear and is fairly aerodynamic, easy to attach, lightweight and water tight and is lockable. If you are interested I'll send you the e-mail link for the company.
