Going on a girls trip with my college age daughter and her roommate and mom. I’m thinking of getting a limo from the airport to Beach Club as a surprise. Any companies recommended?

I'd be interested in the comments.
Even though ME will still be running in Dec. Dragging our luggage halfway around the airport and then waiting for ME was not fun last time. Plus those steps getting onto the bus are getting harder and harder for DH.

My DH and I used ME in May and didn’t wait that long but I think I want to surprise my daughter and do something special! Plus it was torture waiting to be dropped off. We were the last on the bus.

You have to decide if you want to pay for a "limo" or pay for a "towncar."

Normally a towncar will meet you at baggage claim, help you grab your luggage and take it to the car, and stop at a grocery store on the way to the hotel. But it will be a sedan or an SUV. It will not be an actual limo (like people use for weddings and proms).

If you want a towncar, I have used www.tiffanytowncar.com for years. Other people have used www.FLTours.com which is a sponsor of this board.

But if you want an actual limo, you can try www.MearsTransportation.com

FL Tours. Have used them a few times, and always professional, prompt service. You can choose a limo or a towncar or an suv.

If you go to the FL Tours website and use the pull-down menu for type of vehicle, it currently says:
SUV
Limousine (NOT AVAILABLE)
Sedan/Similar (NOT AVAILABLE)

That’s interesting. Tiffany doesn’t show the limo anymore either. I know they used to have them too. Now that I think about it, we’ve had an SUV the last several trips. Wonder if the limos just weren’t being booked enough to keep.

Funny. That is not what I got when I looked this morning. It says sedan not available, but limo shows available. Maybe it depends on the date?

I like Tiffany. I did have to claim my luggage and meet them just outside of the baggage claim area which was not a problem. They will also make a 30 min grocery stop at a Publix but you must let them know you want to do this ahead of time.

I have a possible dumb question. I'm assuming you tell car service you are landing at 1 pm on Southwest 123. What time will they meet you? We will have a rollator for gate checkin , so have to wait for that. And since we have a need for a rollator we won't be speeding through airport.

Do car services expect you to be at pick up point like 15 mins after landing?

We have used Fl tours for years. Niece took 7 month old twins last week Fltours had two car seats for them. Great service, request a limo when making the reservation

Actually, that's a good question. I once had the car service page me; they knew the flight had landed and thought that I should have been at baggage claim already. You might want to tell the car service that you will have to wait for the rollator which is gate checked, and that you will be moving through the airport slowly. (The people at the car service might not know what a rollator is, so you might want to explain.)

Our driver left a voicemail during our flight and told me to text him when we were got to baggage claim. He replied with the number of the pickup area which was directly outside Southwest's baggage claim and he pulled up minutes later. I assume he tracked the flight and was in a waiting area where drivers can wait before going to the numbered pickup locations (this was a driver for Tony Hinds)
