Car service from MCO to a monorail resort - cost?

Our flight gets in late and I am curious about cost to use a car service/SUV (not a taxi) to get from MCO to Poly (or any other monorail resort). I know DME is free, but the last time we did DME with a similar late arrival time, we waited, then stopped at 2 other resorts before finally getting to ours - BLT that trip -and it made the night even longer, the kids got to bed later and started us off on less sleep on a short trip where we were doing rope drop the next morning. So, has anyone used a car service to get to their monorail resort in comfort and quicker than DME. There may be a point where just getting the bags and zipping directly to our resort with no added waiting may be worth an added expense. I just don't know what that added expense is and how easy and quick a car service may be. Has anyone done this?

Yes, I've done it a few times. If you're checking bags, you'll likely save a little time but not much, maybe 15-30 minutes, as you'll have to first wait at the luggage carousel while the DME people go straight to the bus. It will be more about the luxury of having a car waiting and not having to ride a bus than about saving lots of time, in this scenario.

If you're not checking bags, you'll likely save about 45 minutes over using DME.

One-way is typically around $65, plus tip. I personally only find it worth it if there are special circumstances where DME would be inconvenient. The DME bus is comfy, I love the luggage transfer service, and my son and I like the "you're officially at Disney" feel it gives us. If you want to try a car service, though, just go ahead. Plenty of people do it.

I'm with you. I had one late night DME trip that took a long time, and now I use a car service when I fly in late. I've used a couple of different services, but FL Tours has worked out the best. One way service is usually $75, not including tip. For me it is well worth not having to stress about maybe having a long wait to get to my resort.
