A question for all of you experienced cruisers with toddlers...

Do they have a place to store car seats on the ship? Or do you have to keep it in the room?

Thanks!
Allison

There is plenty of room in the closet if you wanted to store it there...we usually rent a car and park at port and leave the car seat in there.

Good question! Can I expand it and ask what people did on the islands?

In St. Thomas, its a cab ride over to Charlotte Amelie. I will have a 1 and 4 yo with us. What do I do?

yeah, room is a bit tight and we had two car seats to store, but they fit well in the left side of the closet under our hanging clothes...thought about putting them out on the verandah, but decided we didn't want them crusted with salt! Have a great trip!

ACtually on the Islands, usually car seats aren't required. Most of the cabs are open air types, with benches located in the bed of a pick-up type truck. There are no seat belts, so car seats can not be used. If you're worried, you should rent a car for your transportation.

We stored ours under the desk. They fit okay, but I would have liked to have had that extra room.

If you can avoid it, don't take car seats. We only took ours because of the port change -- leaving from Everglades with a rental and returning to Canaveral where we parked our van. Otherwise, I leave them in the car.

Thanks for everyone's input. Unfortunately, we're coming from AKL so we won't be in a car. If we can have it stored, I would much rather do that. It's such a pain to lug it around!!!
