Has anyone tried to rent a mid-size or luxury car and fit 3 car seats in the back? I am checking measurements and a Chevy Impala has hip room of 59" in the second row. Think this would fit 2 car seats and a booster seat?

Just note: In Florida, you don't have to be in a car seat past the age of 3. And one of the reasons they've been hesitant to pass the law is because of the issue you mention... it's hard to get 3 car seats in back seat.

The Impala is big though, I would think it would work. The problem is, just because they say it will be an Impala, it could be a different type of car in the same class, without the big back seat.

We reserved a full size and wanted the Impala for our one carseat. Impala was available and very roomy, however we had difficulty with the Latch system on the Impala.

Couldn't get the Latch from the carseat to hook to the Latch in the Impala. It seemed like it was sideways and had a kink in it. We ended up having to take a Camry instead. Carseat installation was very quick in the Camry.

Just wanted to give you a heads up in case you were planning to use Latch and are used to an easy install on your own car.
