we're heading to WDW in april, the first trip with out DD. she'll be 8 months and we plan to us tiffany town car service to get to our resort. have you used the car seats from tiffany town car, or do you take your own base and infant carrier? if you take your own, how do you handle everything with the airline? traveling with an infant is new to us!! thank you!!

We always used a carseat for our daughters in the airplaine so we had them for ground transporation anyway, towncar or rental.

We used the travel system stroller with the infant seat and strolled it to the gate. If you have a separate stroller just get a carseat bag for the carseat. You can then gate check the stroller allowing you to use it up to the time you board. Then leave it folded with all extra items removed at the door of the plane and it will be loaded last and removed first so its waiting for you at the door when you get off the plane. If you are not using the carseat onboard you can gate check this as well, but again we always brought ours on the airplane and used it for our daughters.

I am pretty sure that Tiffany does not have infant seats, either way I would call to be sure. You will want them to guarantee the driver wil have a CRS appropriate for an 8mo.

One trip when my youngest was about 2 they had a backless booster in the trunk that they offered for my dd. Luckily we had ours because it wasn't appropriate for my dd at that time.

Take your carseat. Your baby really should be in it on the plane. Even if you just cant afford a ticket for her, if there is an empty seat the airline will let you use it for the baby.

A lot of infant carriers can be installed without the base so you might be able to just leave it at home. I would check your owners manual (or if that's lost you can find out on the mfg website, I'm sure). hth!

Just an FYI: At 8 months she might possibly be too big for the infant carrier. My son outgrew his at 5 months. The height/weight restrictions are lower than I would have thought.
