When DD was 10 months we did Magical Express like Sunshine Bus, she just sat in my lap. Honestly that was a little stressful because she was ready to move after the flight and I kept worrying about her bonking her head.
We just went in March and did the Mears town car option with car seat for both ways. We decided the extra cost was worth knowing we'd be able to get a ride with a car seat and not have to wait. We also hoped they would be a little more well-versed in car seat installation. On the way there our flight was also super late so we didn't want to stress on that. Our flight ended up almost 2 hours late too, so we ended up at the resort around 1am! eek!
The car seats were installed perfectly both times and the service was great. They were early to pick us up, but were still so kind when they had to wait since we were just finishing eating breakfast.
We will be using them again when we go in November. It is pricier, but to me it was worth it for the ease, calmness, and directness. Travelling with a kid is already stressful enough.
Sidebar that on the way home, which was my birthday, going through security was super fun with DD ripping her mask off, throwing her socks and shoes because we wanted to be like us, and just being super "exciting". I still give thanks to the woman behind me who spoke words of encouragement to me. Whoever she was, I thank her every time my mind revisits that experience.
