Car rentals

We are thinking of renting a car at the airport for the week; we arrive in a few weeks. The rates seem so different between some of the rental companies. We are leaning toward Budget Car Rental, but wondered if anyone has any information on that company. Usually if we want a car, we rent from the Dolphin and go through Alamo, but they are so much more expensive. Thanks for any thoughts.

Just be prepared to wait in a very slow line at MCO--took us well over an hour to get our car in May.

Was the long wait because it was Budget Car Rental, or does the whole car rental process take a long time at the Orlando airport?

My experiences have been it is generally cheaper to pickup and drop off at the airport, there have been exceptions though so it is well worth checking all your options.
I have never rented from Budget so I can't offer an opinion on them, have always used Alamo or Dollar (mostly Alamo)
There are other rental locations at the DTD hotels that are worth checking out as well.
You say in a few weeks, I am renting a compact for 11/20-11/26 for $121 and change incl taxes and fees with Alamo, pickup and drop off at MCO. I'm still hoping it goes down a little more, but I can live with it if it doesn't.

You might want to signup for Fastbreak with Budget and bypass the counter to speed things up.

If we have Fastbreak on our reservation, does that mean we can go directly out to the garage, or do we first have to wait in the Fastbreak line inside?
