We will be staying at the BWV for 2 weeks in January . After we are there for a few days we want to rent a car. Where would be the best place (most convenient) to rent from? Thanks for any input.

I think there is a National rental desk at the Dolphin. You can go to there website and look for locations near WDW.

While it may not mean much to you, check rates closely. We were just in Orlando for a convention in September and several of our folks rented cars at the resort vs the airport and the cost differential was significant (several hundred dollars).

We use the Enterprise in the WDW area (Lake Buena Vista). They will come pick you and, which is really nice.

Also, if anyone in your family works for a company, you may get rental car discounts through them for personal use. Because my employer contracts with a couple of big rental companies, I can get unbelievable discounts. You can also find good discounts online if you look.

This is so true. We have found it to be a good bit cheaper to take ME to WDW, and then rent a car once on property. Excellent point!

We rent from the Avis agency at the Hilton across from DTD. They offer free shuttle service to/from your hotel. Office code LB3.

Just made a ressie for a small car 2 the Dollar rent a car inside the Regal Sun Resort in DTD hotel area. Was a bit cheaper than the ressie I had previously made with Enterprise. Found the rate through Carrentals.com
