I am desperately looking for good rates alas there don't seem any to be had... The best I could do was Alamo using the BJ's wholesale club discount & a free day... 9 days in a full size for 285.00 A LOT of money...

The best I am getting is $315.00 with tax and all the extras for nine days as well....I hope they go down. Last year at the same time I only paid like $230.00 for 9 days.

We have an intermediate, National EA, for $242 for nine days.

We paid less than $200 last year.

I used BCD U072405 - it's through American AAdvantage (frequent flyer program)... nothing to present at checkin.... anyhow, I got 9 days for 271.00, but the website won't allow me to put in my coupon for a free day, so I guess I have to call to get it applied? So, perhaps the 9 days will be 240.00? This is for a full size car...

Unfortunately, the page that describes U072405 states that you cannot combine it with any other coupons. I tried to put in an upgrade coupon for my upcoming Budget rental and the web site accepted it. Not sure if I will have any issues with using it when I pick up the car. I'm picking up on 6/14 so I can post back afterwards.

Szymon, was it an AAdvantage upgrade coupon number? When I got the BCD # it did come with a coupon code, but I think it only allowed for extra mileage, not a free upgrade....

Thanks for the details about not allowing coupons, I couldn't figure that one out

The best rate I've seen for 9 days is through Budget. There is a Wal-Mart code for 25% off on Mousesavers.com. The total for all 9 days incuding all taxes was exactly $250.00 for an Intermediate. I still think that is too high.

No, the coupon itself is not tied to any specific BCD... but the web site it's from specifies it's for government rate rentals. Like I said, I'll update next week as to what happens

I just booked a midsize SUV last week for 10 days for $274.31 through Alamo.. this is the best rate I could find. Our dates are 7/3-7/13.

We are Costco members and I used the Costco link and the $25 coupon on the same site. The Costco discount also lets you add an additional driver at no extra charge. Below is the link

With Budget today. Used UO72405 as the code and got 6 days (4 hours over) for $222.82 including taxes for a mid size. Not too bad...???
