Here now. I decided on the 9 day rental. I am so used to having the flexibility, if I want to drive to DtD, a resort, offsite. And the additional hassle of dealing with dropping off and then getting again was more than I wanted to deal with. I do use Disney transportation for the most part while on site though.

As an aside, again, at MCO, no standard size, so a standard reservation does give a renter a full size. On the full size aisle yesterday, there were a lot of full, regular sized mini vans, Kia's and Doge Grand Caravans. I took a Dodge Grand, $120 for 9 days. And I am used to national more than Alamo, and forgot the kiosk thing. No problem, worked the same as National, just drove to the check out, took about 2 minutes, mostly me jabbering with the service person.

Wow, congrats on scoring such a great deal!! We are down to $122, only 3 more days ...Yay!!

Just cancelled/rebooked my Alamo Insiders reservation. Minivan (7 passenger)5/14-5/21. Used last minute specials, changed Corp ID to 7015820 (20%off) plus coupon ID AD4027JDO ($40 off). Total incl. fees/taxes $144.33 (was $181.43).

Thanks to everyone here for inspiring me to check the rates on my reservation with National daily. With the coupon code for $35.00 off and an Amex discount, I've been able to get my rental for a full size down to $76.87 from May 14 am to May 22 pm!

We're Executive members, so I'll be sure to post what we are able to pick up when we return!

Details please, best we can find for similar dates is

May 14 - 22 am pu pm do is 115.50 executive aisle pay medium choose full

would like to get the rate down some more like you did if possible

I have been following this thread forever and had a reservation with Alamo but cancelled and went with National because they had a better price for a mini van.
Now I booked today with Alamo, using the code for the 20% ( 7015820 ) and the $40 insider coupon (AD4027JDO) for a mini van, May 21st to May 28th, pick up at 12 noon but return 3:00 pm so we pay for a few extra hours. Our rate with taxes etc is now $196.85, a nice saving from $253.00 from National.

I need some advice. I am currently booked with a midsize for our trip in May for 8 days (4 days at WDW and 4 days at the beach) for $105. It will be me, DH, DD2, and DS 7. Both kids have car seats.

However . . . .I could book a Standard for $130. If I book a standard the car will be more roomy PLUS we may have the chance to get something larger like a small SUV or mini-van right? Will I ever have the chance to get a bigger class with the midsize?

WWYD? Stick with the Midsize or upgrade to a Standard?

Our rate dropped $11 today as well. Our reservation for a midsize car with Alamo for a week plus four hours from May 21-28 at MCO is now $95.65 after taxes using the insider's ID, the Insider's discount code 7015820 and the $40 insider coupon (AD4027JDO).

My brother is picking up a car at MCO tomorrow, and the rate just dropped again! Never seen it drop that close to pick up. He's reserved a compact for 9 days + 2 hrs for $81.52! Our car for one week beginning 5/7 is now $52.11 - INCREDIBLE!!

I have a question for all you rental car experts! I just signed up for the Alamo Insiders. So, I was able to use the $40 off and I used a 20% off coupon that was on Mousesavers dot com and said it was a code for Alamo insiders only. When I reserved the car, in red it showed up that a coupon code I used might need to be shown upon getting the car. Will I need to show something? There was no coupon that came with these codes.

After rebooking this morning using the Insider's ID 7015820 and the $40 insider coupon (AD4027JDO) and getting the rate down to $95.65, I decided to double check it using the other Corp. ID 7015309 (I can't remember if this is the Amex or the Costco number) with the $40 off coupon a few minutes ago, and that yielded a total rate of $88.19 for a midsize at MCO for a week plus four hours from May 21-28.

I agree with what others have said. I have never in my life seen rates this low.

Just went back after reading your success posts, and my Alamo midsize for the end of May is now $71.16.
I, too, can't remember such low rental prices, and we go at this time most years.

Success! I rechecked mine, and it dropped another $10, so I upgraded myself to a mid-size. About $103 for 9 nights. Thanks everyone for the heads up!

My rate went down yet again!! I now have a midsize for $89 for 8 days! I could get a Full size for $109. I think I'll stick with the midsize for now but if the rates keep dropping I may end up with a Full size!
