We are staying at the Camelot Inn and would like to rent a car for a day. Does anyone know of a car rental place that is within walking distance? Thanks.
I'm picking up a car at SNA when we fly in and returning that night around 6:30 (it closes at 7pm) and returning it to the Downtown Disney office. It is Alamo and the Downtown Disney address is 1565 S. Disneyland Dr. Ste 105. We are then going to walk back to Hojos. I "think" the office is behind the AAA office in Downtown Disney and it will be easy to walk back.
Yes, the Alamo car rental is in DTD, just around the corner from the Compass Books. I have seen 3 small cars parked there at various times. The office faxes the DL Hotel.
I called the DTD Alamo directly as we need a large SUV type vehicle (Navigator etc.) and it didn't show they had one on the website. The lady on the phone insured me they had some but I needed to call the 1-800 number to book luxury vehicles. So I called the 1-800 and had an argument with the lady as she wouldn't believe me that there was a pick up in downtown disney. Then she told me they didn't carry SUVs at that location. I told her I just talked to the actual site and they said they did but she insisted they didn't. Anyway...now..does anyone know if they do have SUVs or a place that I can rent one close to Disney? Thanks!
I think there is a rental place in the Hampton Inn, just South of Katella. It may have been another hotel down there, but I was searching as we need a 24 hour rental while there as well. I believe with expedia you can search near an address and figure out what is close.
I would think the hitlon would have such services as they are a convention hotel. In the past national is the only company I know that will let you pick up car at an airport then drop off at another area. I do not know if they have a counter in the DL area but worth a check. Drop -off fees can be 50-125.00. Have fun
I know that the Anaheim Plaza Hotel (1700 S. Harbor) has a car rental place on site. I'm not sure what the agency is, or even the cost, as I have never had to use it....
