I've been searching for a decent car rental for 8 days 3/2 to 3/9 in and out of Tampa airport. I finally went on Priceline and put in a bid for a premium car (Buick LeSabre) and got it for a total of $286.00 (includes taxes, surcharges, etc.). It's through Avis and I went on their site and priced it, it was $586.00!!! Just thought I'd let you know.

I just used Priceline for a rental. I placed a bid on an intermediate for 15.00 a day, it was accepted by Avis. When I got to the Avis counter, I requested that the car NOT be white, if possible. Well, the agent said she would try, then asked if "beige was ok", I said sure. Well, she upgraded us to a beautiful champagne (beige?) monte carlo. Great car and a great rate.
Priceline can work. Oh, yes, I saved over 160.00 by booking with Priceline.
