I want to rent a car @ MCO and then return it the night prior to leaving CBR, has anyone done this, p/u @ MCO and return on the Disney Property?

I've never returned the car on Disney property but I'm sure you can do it if
the company has a site there. We rented from S & L and had a good experience. I know there is a National rental place near MK. Some of the
resorts have them, I think. Good luck!

Why not get a round trip limo(they will stop at Publix for 20 - 30 minutes on inbound trip), rent from National or Enterprise locally, and avoid the airport fees and more importantly the airport rental car lines. Returning to a different location involves extra fees.

we have done this before... if i am not mistaken the rent a car place that u should rent from is the Alamo... you can pick it up at the airport and when you are ready to return it; you can return it to the one on wdw property... when you return it -you can set up a bus that Alamo offers -to return you to your hotel or one of the hotels next to it... I think the Poly is right across the street.

Many of the car rental agencies have offices at the Car Care Center near the Magic Kingdom. I returned a car early once to so I didn't have to take the time to return it at the airport.

Only Alamo operates at the Car Care Center now. National stopped operations there earlier this year. Although, both Alamo and National still have a counter at the Dolphin. And many companies have counters at the various off-site hotels immediately near DTD (Dollar @ Grosvener, Budget @ Double Tree, Avis @ Hilton, etc).

Last year when we went, we took Magical Express to our hotel, hopped the resort bus to DTD and walked to one of the hotels and rented from Budget, can't remember the hotel, but it was about a 1/2 mile walk from the DTD busstop. Took it back the day before we flew home and took the resort (the non-Disney hotel with the Budget office) to MGM and then relied on the Disney buses for the rest of the day, and hopped Magical Express back to the airport the next morning.

We saved about $50 renting off-airport and it wasn't too much of a hassle, but I'm not sure I'd do it again, if you can rent from a place in the airport and not one of the ones that shuttle you to their lot, I think you're better of renting at the airport. If you have to shuttle to the rental lot, then be prepared.

We rented from Alamo once like that, and our plane arrived at 12:30 am...we took the shuttle to the Alamo lot, by the time we got a car and arrived at our hotel, it was 3:15am.

When we've rented at the airport counter, I've never even had to wait.
