Car rental -- what would be the best way to do this?

I Am needing to get a one day car rental to visit some family in Orlando. We will be at HS on that particular day until around 1pm. I was thinking that it would be best to get a rental at the dolphin resort, but now I am reading that there is a dollar car rental at Dtd? What would be the best and easiest way to get a car rental when you are at HS? Can we take the boat to the dolphin to get the rental?

The Swan/Dolphin is the 1st stop from DHS for the Friendship boats that service the Epcot resorts, about a 7-minute ride. I think that will certainly be the easiest way to go.

I think the Dollar location is actually in a Resort Blvd hotel, so a bit of a walk from DTD bus stop (although they may offer a shuttle for pick up).

Yes, the best and easiest is the Dolphin. You can take the boat (it's the first stop) or walk. The rental counter at the Dolphin is Alamo/National. Just check their web sites for the best rates. Probably Alamo will be the lowest, but you never can tell.
