Car Rental to Get from WDW to Uni - and some shopping in between

Hi All,

Need some advice on car rental - We are staying on site at WDW then going to Universal and staying on site there. On our 'Moving Day' we are going to go to the Outlets and are thinking of renting a car for the day to get us from Disney to the Outlets then on to Universal and have our luggage with us the whole time. Is there car rental places on both sites that I can pick up then drop off without too much hassle?

The easiest company to use for rental cars at WDW is Alamo/National. They have counters at the Dolphin and the Car Care Center. If you rent from the Car Care Center, you can call ahead and have a shuttle get you to take you to the CCC to get the car. The Dolphin doesn't offer this service, so you could book your rental pickup for a day that you are at either Epcot or DHS..easy access to the Dolphin from there. Returning at US/IoA? I have no idea.

Alamo has a desk at the Four Points by Sheraton, near Universal. Hour are 8a-4p. Hertz has a desk in the Universal Hotels.

The 4Points location is also National! And you can return after or before hours.

It's an easy, though not-overly-quick walk back to the parks through citywalk, or you can call a cab or have the hotel call one.


Of course, using Hertz and returning it to...I think it's at Hard Rock...might be easiest. For the return part, at least!
