Car Rental to and from Port

I'm finalizing all of our reservations for our cruise this spring. A couple of days ago I reserved a car to drive from MCO to Port Canaveral through Budget. I used a code I got off of Mousesavers and got a fullsize SUV for only $34 (plus tax..etc).

Today I'm trying to book a car again for the return, back to MCO. I can't believe its $104 ! I called Budget to see if they would help and the guy I talked to couldn't do anything. He said it had to do with what pick-up city we're in and there may already be a lot of reservations. ... I'm shocked, has anyone else run into this? For that amount of money, I could pay for a one-way Disney shuttle for the family, except we would like our own car because we have some time to kill before our flight later that day.

the rates did some changing. I booked back in oct. and my rate was $64 for two days ,midsize. When I trid to update the time frame,the rate change to $96. Keep going back to their web site and the rates will change again before you leave

I just rebooked with budget and my rate went down to $19.99 a day.

We are trying to book a car for March 30 thru to April 2 then about 4 days after cruise. Does anyone have any good codes or sites to use that they would like to share? I haven't had any luck yet with affordable prices.

I got the Costco travel magzine from our local costco. There is a coupon inside for discount code and $20 off weekly rental. I got the $19 one way too, but I need 3 days after cruise and that came up as high as a weekly. So I will leave the car in the terminal.

For that kind of money if you are just going back to the airport and you have a family of four or less you can get a towncar for under $100 and not have to worry about taking a shuttle to the rental car place or returning afterwards.
