Car Rental Tampa (TPA)

My parents are going with us to Disney, but are flying into Tampa Airport. Anyone rent a car from TPA before? Prices seem really out of sight compared to Orlando. Dates are 10/5-10/14 (9 days). Right now with codes I am seeing $400+ for a mid-size. Tired bidding $12-14 on priceline, but was rejected. Please help! Thank you!

We have flown into the Tampa airport and rented from National Rental Car, which is onsite in the parking garage at the airport now. Just keep checking rates. Check out mousesavers.com for some codes to try. Our rate in July dropped a bit when we got closer to our travel dates.

we flew into Tampa in March and rented a van from Alamo. I would keep checking--look at Mousesavers --be sure to join the members club--look at their web sites as many offer % off and you can combine with other codes to lower price.
