Car Rental Question

Hello, I am heading to Orlando for 14 days on the 11th June and will be travelling with my parents, brother and one of his friends, and my girlfriend. So 6 people in total.

We want to rent a vehicle big enough for us all and our luggage but want something different to the normal people carrier vehicles if at all possible. Does anyone know where or how to get a large SUV or something interesting to rent for the fortnight? I have tried looking at the main rental companies but I have not found anything as of yet.

ANY information or help would be great!!

How about a mini van? my friends and I rented one to go from Maryland to Myrtle Beach for a weekend that was about $360 total for the weekend.

Yeah a mini-van is an idea but I think they are the usual for car rentals. Which mini-van were you meaning? We are looking for something a bit more interesting really but am open to all suggestions.

I checked Hertz at Orlando Airport. They list "Full Size SUV" and Cadillac Escalade as options, both of which will fit a large number of people. However, these types of rentals get very, very expensive.

Hey meuseman, yeah I have seen that before but when I go further to follow up for dates etc it says it is not available. I will check again to make sure I'm not being stupid but I'm pretty sure it wasn't possible last time I checked. And yeah I know these rentals may be expensive but I'll let my dad decide what he might and might not want to pay!

Yeah, as I thought it says that the requested vehicle(s) are not available (on Hertz's site). I guess I could just ring them and see what they say, but just wondered if any of you guys had any experience with this or any helpful information.
