Car Rental Question

Does anyone know which car rental companies have on-site pickup at Lax? Also, any special deals out there or special codes you can let me know about?

A CA resident could probably answer this better, but I don't think any of the major car rental companies are located there. I've rented from several different ones, and have always had to catch a shuttle. It's never been a problem though, right outside baggage claim are little shuttle stops for all the companies, and shuttles come frequently.

Thanks for your reply. Someone else told me the same thing, but I wanted to post the question in case they were mistaken. Orlando has several rental companies right on site. You walk out the door and pick up your car 100 yards away. At least now I can base my decision strictly on price.

Now, if anyone can give me some award codes for discounts, I would really appreciate it.

If you don't mind using Priceline, here's a site that lists some of the lowest bids people have won with for rental cars.

I used this site as a guideline for bidding on rooms and cars and it was extremely helpful in saving me tons of money. At LAX, I ended up getting a Chevy Malibu for $14/day.

We have flown into LAX, around one and half years ago and used Alamo. (Alamo, as the others was not on site.)
May 26th, we flew into Ontario and used Budget. We booked this rental through hotwire.com. No one was able to beat their prices. The rate was even cheaper than Alamo with a discount.
