Car rental question

I read a while back that you can rent a car at the airport and then return it to a location near DL. Can anyone confirm? Is there a charge to drop off at a different location?

Most rental companies charge a fee if drop off differs from pick up. They an all vary so you pretty have to work out various quotes to see how much it costs. If you are a Costco member I'd start with them, they show prices for multiple companies.

Alamo is the rental place in Downtown Disney, and I know others in Anaheim are close but not their exact locations...

We rented from Alamo for the weekend, picked up and returned at DTD. It was great customer service, we pre paid for less gas than we used and returning the car, even on Labor day weekend, was painless. Just park it in the lot behind the building and drop off the keys!

We have done this. They will pick up or drop off from your hotel.

Every rental is different. You have to price it all out.

If using Alamo/National (and maybe Enterprise) price it out to drop off at the Katella Ave location at the Alpine Inn. It might be cheaper than dropping at the downtown disney location. The Katella location has a shuttle.
