We are heading to BWV for F&W. This will be the first trip that we fly. Usually we make the long trek from Canada by car but this time we don't want to waste a minute extra travelling. We don't think that we will really need a car for the whole week, but thought it might be nice for a few days midweek. (after we're done enjoying F&W of course!) Can we get a car delivered to the resort? What are the best places to rent from? Any help would be much appreciated.

I got a great rate at National, and also signed up for Emerald Club where I bypass the rental desk and go straight to the cars and drive off...

I am only keeping our car for the first 4 days to get groceries, eat at our favorite off-site places, check out the Millenia Mall, etc. Then I am dropping it off at the National Desk in the Dolphin and making my way back to OKW via MGM.

There is also a rental car desk for Alamo and National at the WDW car care center and I think they have shuttles. Other posters should be even more familiar with options. Have fun!

Another vote for National. Love the convenience of the Emerald Aisle. Sometimes you can get a weekly rate as cheap as renting for 3 days. Good luck.

Can you just sign up for the Emerald Club, or do you have to qualify to use it?
Thanks.

You can sign up online - it's easy, anyone can enroll in it.

I ditto the above posters - you can't beat walking straight out and grabbing a car w/ no check in! It's so easy!!

Faithful National user here!!

So far so Great!! Love Emerald Club. We have always managed to get a Full Size for the price of the midsize off the Emerald Aisle.

Right now National is offering a link on their website for Free Emerald Club enrollment with a Free rental offer too!

There is an Alamo desk at the Dolphin, just a short stroll over from BWV, plus at the Car Care Center by MK. When I looked into renting midweek in October, the Alamo rates with Mousesaver codes were better than National and several other companies.

Thanks for all the information. I should have known that there would be lots of options. Also good to hear that cars are available on property.

another :cheer2: for national at the dolphin (we used magical express & stayed at BWV)

we rented an intermediate (chevy classic ~ almost identical to DH's nissan maxima) for 8/20 thru 8/25, using AMEX code & ENT coupon from mousesavers. total was $114.33 inc all taxes/fees (btw, tried lopping off a day or two, & the rate went up between $50 - $100!! :earseek: you need to keep the sat & min of 5 day (aka weekly) to get the best rates).
very easy:
i have emerald club, so "preferences" are preprinted on ressie. i initialled decline of additional coverage, very pleasant agent gave key, valet brought car.
rtn was just giving car to valet, rtning keys inside.
the easiest & fastest car rental we've ever experienced!!
