Car Rental Query regarding additional driver

If I pick up a car at Alamo on one day but my additional driver doesn't arrive until the next day can I just have him show his licence and stuff when he arrives - how does that work?

Yep that's not a problem, be sure to add the extra driver when you book the car hire so you don't get an additional driver charge at the local extortion rates. You will have to go with the additional driver to the original rental location along with your rental agreement, original ID and credit card etc, he will have to have his ID etc ready, and they will add him on for you. you'll be asked to initial the contract next to the written changes to prove you have made the amendments and not Alamo at random.

EDIT: When you pick up the car initially let them know that your additional driver will be arriving the next day and you will return to add him to the rental as per the booking / coupon.

Hey thanks for that - as it happens with my discount I get 3 additional drivers and I will be picking up the car at The Dolphin so I'm going to have one that I want to add 2 days after I pick up the car and then another a week after I pick up the car but from what you're saying as long as I have them on the original booking that should work out OK as I can drive them both back to the Alamo desk at The Dolphin to get them all sorted.
