Car Rental Prices Jumped

I have been watching rental prices. I would like a car for 8 days in May from MCO. Jumped $100 in 2 days.

I get it that the rental industry is up and down. Only saying if you are waiting for prices to drop, you might book now and then get a price change if/when they reduce.

I wonder if it's because of undercovertourist.com's deal. I just checked my upcoming rental dates and yep, they have increased quite a bit.

Maybe because it's a holiday weekend for some? Prices seem to go up at such times, even for bookings that are months away.

No change to my rental rates for May. I locked in about a month ago through UT and the price is identical today as to what it was when we made the reservation. I also just checked Costco and the rates are still similar there as well.

It's always a good practice to watch your rental price after your initial booking, and to always make a cancellable reservation so you can take advantage of any price decreases that may occur. I have had rental prices drop within 2 days of travel in the past year, so literally watch those rates right up until you leave.

I agree.

3 days ago, I looked up the cost of a 1-day minivan rental at the WDW Car Care Center and it was going to cost $192!
