I looked up how much it will be to rent from Avis for 12 days next Oct, picking up from Orlando airport, with my Costco discount. The quoted rate was 703. with taxes. That is more than it will cost for my DH and I to fly from NY to WDW (hopefully)> What am I doing wrong? Is this the normal rate nowadays?

Mousesavers has been been my lifesaver. DH and myself have been planning our honeymoon in February, since we got back last February!
Anyways, after researching and checking rental agencies and mousesavers practically everyday. We have what is probably the lowest quote we'll be able to find.

For 15 days - February 7 - 22nd: $314.01 through Alamo. The next lowest one was $333.90 through National, and this is including taxes, etc....

Mousesavers.com is the best place to find good codes for rates. We are going in March for 8 days and we are getting a minivan for 249 from Dollar. Good luck!!

Frann,
You are probably looking a tad early for next Oct. I am going in Feb. I started looking early Dec. booked a car and from early Dec. to now the rate has dropped about 30.00. By all means, keep looking but don't get discouraged right now. If you see a good rate come up, grab it, you can always change it if the price goes down.

Amen to Gail and the others....check every few weeks....try code 5901600 with National for a 20 percent discount most of the time..prices will come down.....enjoy...Ted

Thanks for the great website... but I have a question... I used a code from that pcpages.com site and found a code for Avis in Florida (code = k110604) which allowed be to get a full size car that was $334 on the Avis site for $185... great deal right?

My question is... am I allowed to use this code? I have no idea if I have to show something at the rental counter to get the car at this rate... I don't want to be disappointed when I show up to get the car and find out I am not entitled to use the code...

Can anybody shed some light on this? Thank you!

Tom,
Usually, unless the code is for a member of something, you are good to go. I would call Avis and ask.

Gail,

Thank you for the reply :D

The website says that the source of the code is the Abalone Travel Website... so am I right to assume that the code is available to anyone who visits that site and I don't need to be a member of anything?

Thanks again :)

Tom,
I would make that assumption, but, would also check it with a fine toothed comb to make sure I wasn't missing something. :)
