Car rental policy question

I want to take advantage of the Disney Club deal for National Car rental for one free day when renting for 3 days. Here's my query: We are renting for 3 days but will not be staying the 3rd night. I tried getting the quote for returning it the 3rd day, not the 4th day, and website says that an overnight stay is required for that coupon.

If I make a reservation for 3 nights but return the car early, will the rate still be honored?

Here's the details: the coupon code is 10004932. We want to rent from 11/8 8 am to 11/10 1 pm. In order to get the coupon to work, I had to put in return time of 11/11 7 am. Any penalty for early return? What if I came back and said we had an emergency that required us to return a 1/2 day early. Okay so it's a white lie. But either way, I'd still be requesting a 3 day rental...

I work in the travel industry, and FYI cars are always rented on a 24 hour basis.
Example: if you are picking up your car at 8am on the 10th, for it to be considered just
three days, it would have to be returned by 8am on the 13th... returning it even 5 hours
late is considered and additional day...

So, I assume that you would be safe to rent the
car for 3 days, and you should not be charged for early drop off (I have never heard of a
penalty for dropping a car off early)

I didn't think there would be a penalty. I mean, people's flight schedules change all the time! So I went ahead and reserved it - A trip to Disneyland is always great, but when you can save that much money on a car rental, it makes it extra special inkbounc That's one day free PLUS 20% off that! Woohoo!
