Car rental or Uber??

We are a family of six and I have a minivan booked, but was considering using uber/lift. How difficult will it be to get a uber to get back and forth from the parks?

You will need an uber xl, that will limit your pool of options.

Do you need car seats? Last I looked there was a car seat option on their app.

With the current Covid restrictions, you will need TWO Ubers for each trip. No passengers are allowed in the front seat, so maximum capacity is now 3 for Uber X and 5 for XL.

A benefit of a rental is no mask on while driving and less time in a mask waiting for transportation.

I would just rent a minivan and simplify your life with not having to wait on Ubers or Disney buses. My answer would be different if it were just two people but with that number I think you will enjoy the freedom of movement you have with your own car.

You have several options:
Every major brand at MCO (Enterprise, Hertz, Budget, Avis, etc.)
Enterprise, National, and Alamo at the Disney Car Care Center
Other brands at the Disney Springs hotels (Doubletree has a Budget desk, for example)

If you are already paying big bucks to stay at the Contemporary I would just go ahead and get a rental car at the airport. Why waste precious vacation time .

They are different companies, but many drivers drive for both. Lyft is often slightly cheaper, but that can vary based on any number of factors.
